Nintendo Working to Make Super Mario Run as Popular as Pokemon Go
Tatsumi Kimishima, president of Nintendo, has bold intentions going into the launch of Super Mario Run.
Super Mario Run is an upcoming autorunner game coming to iOS which was announced during last month's Apple Event. It'll be coming to 150 countries on iPhone and iPad some time this December.
Kimishima told Bloomberg: "In terms of expectations, we all saw what happened when we delivered Pokemon Go. And honestly I was quite surprised by it myself. There's no doubt that more people are using smartphones to play games. And as this time we're using Mario, that's a very important intellectual property for us. And that's what Miyamoto's team is working on now: making sure it spreads out just as quickly as Pokemon Go."

Skylanders Academy: New Netflix Series Clip
Skylanders Academy has just hit Netflix, and we've got an exclusive clip for you, as the successful video game franchise is adapted into an animated series.
The series features the voices of Justin Long, Jonathan Banks, Chris Diamantopoulos, Bobcat Goldthwait, Richard Steven Horvitz, Norm Macdonald, Jonny Rees and Ashley Tisdale and focuses on new students at the Academy the show is titled after.
In the following clip, the Skylanders have to defend a strange target for Master Eon (Diamontopoulos).

The Gerard Butler-starring "
Has Fallen" action movie series will continue with Angel Has Fallen.
The latest in a series that should really now be called "The Adventures of the Unluckiest Secret Service Agent" will seemingly see Butler's Mike Banning protecting Air Force One (its codename being Angel) from attack.
However, EW indicates that, this time around, Banning himself may be a prime target, as well as the leaders of the free world he's assigned to keep safe.
With the film set to start production in the first half of 2017, no information's emerged on the possible involvement of the series' other stars. Morgan Freeman and Aaron Eckhart.

Nintendo Will Not Discontinue 3DS After Switch Release
Good news for 3DS owners, Nintendo has no plans to discontinue the 3DS following the release of the Nintendo Switch.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima explained the current situation when questioned as to why the company decided to combine household and portable gaming:
“We didn't just want a successor to the Wii U or the 3DS,” says Kimishima. “So our original concept was, ‘What kind of new experience can we create?’ And what we showed this time was an object that's both stationary and one you can take outside to play with anyone you want.
Doug Liman Talks Justice League Dark Movie

Doug Liman: Yeah, I mean first of all, I love those characters, and I love Warner Bros., and I love
Scott Rudin, and it’s -- and you know, I get asked to come in and do things that are “unconventional.” If people want conventional, they don’t come to me. It’s why doing Invisible was like right up my alley -- because how can you be conventional when there aren’t even conventions that exist? And so you know when Warner Bros. wants to sort of turn the comic book genre on its head, they call me.
George Romero on Walking Dead’s Impact on Zombie Movies
Night of the Living Dead filmmaker George Romero has come forward to discuss his struggles in getting financing for a new zombie film, saying he can no longer make one of "substance," thanks in large part to AMC's hit series The Walking Dead.
In an interview with IndieWire, Romero noted that Land of the Dead, which is the biggest zombie movie he's ever made, didn't need such a large budget.
"That money went largely to the cast. They were great, but I don’t think that money needed to be spent," he said, adding that "Dennis Hopper’s cigar budget cost more than the entire production of Night of the Living Dead."
Nintendo’s Mysterious 3DS Game Is Coming to Japan in 2016
Nintendo has a new game coming out in Japan this holiday called Miitopia, and the Japanese video game maker hasn’t spilled many details explaining what this new game is.
Miitopia was first announced at the close of a Japanese Nintendo Direct presentation back in September. And the message was simple: Miitopia is a new holiday game coming to Nintendo 3DS. It will be sold as a retail game and as a digital download on the 3DS eShop. No other specifics were offered at the time.
Over 55 days later, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima reminded investors the game was coming during a financial results meeting in Japan yesterday. “Miitopia, for which we have only announced the title, will be released by the end of this year,” Kimishima told a room of investors, “and we will provide more information about this exciting title at a later date.”
