Unannounced Nintendo Switch Feature All But Confirmed
A comment made on a GameStop investor relations call seems to have confirmed a so-far unannounced feature for the upcoming Nintendo Switch console - motion controls.
While discussing how the console's features have the potential to expand the gaming audience in a similar way to the Nintendo Wii, the US retailer's CEO, Paul Raines said:
"A movement-related game is more fun for kids, you know, taking those accessories off -
- you can really do a lot of interesting things with that in gameplay."
Nintendo has so far refused to divulge any hardware specifics not shown off in the console's reveal trailer, and will not be discussing them until a Nintendo Direct due for broadcast in January.

Ubisoft Addresses AC: Ezio Collection Visuals Controversy
Following the release of graphics comparisons that appeared to show several unfavourable changes to Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection compared to the original games, a Youtuber and Ubisoft itself have offered a counterpoint.
Much of the ridicule centred around the appearance of a (hilariously) bug-eyed NPC in the Assassin's Creed 2 remaster. However, Ubisoft points out that this NPC is randomly generated, meaning limited numbers of players would see the same individual (although we did).
A statement from the developer to Kotaku reads:

Fantastic Beasts Sequels Won’t All Center Around Newt
While Eddie Redmayne's Newt Scamander was the central figure in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, producer David Heyman says that won't be the case in the forthcoming sequels.
Warning: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them spoilers follow.
When asked about Scamander's role in future installments by Cinema Blend, Heyman said, "I don't think
the heart of all of them. I think he'll be part—so will Tina, Queenie and Jacob—will be part of the next one."
The producer also discussed a key scene that was cut from the film, which showed Credence (Erza Miller) alive after seemingly dying in the climatic sequence that preceded it. "We actually had a scene, which we cut, which was Credence going to a boat, to get on a boat somewhere else. But we cut that, because we didn't want to have it be such an, 'Ahhh, here we go,'" he said.
