Netflix's new comedy series The Santa Clarita Diet starring Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant hasn't sounded particularly remarkable...until now.

Honda’s New Payment System Is Like Apple Pay for Your Car
Honda and Visa have teamed to create an in-vehicle payment system and are putting the technology on display at CES.
The payment system is designed with the car in mind, and to demonstrate its new system, Honda is using fuel pumps from Gilbarco Veeder-Root and "smart parking meters from IPS Group, Inc."
It's similar in function to the payment system you may have on your smartphone in that it does away with the need to hand over cash or swipe a plastic card. If you pull up to a compatible device, the car will let you know you can pay for fuel or parking using the system.
John Moon, Developer Relations Lead at Honda Developer Studio, said the system and partnerships are "focused on simplicity and convenience" for drivers.
New Powerless Trailer Shows Bruce Wayne Connection
A new trailer for the DC Comics human-focused comedy series Powerless shows a connection with DC's most prolific billionaire playboy, Bruce Wayne.
The trailer shows protagonist Emily Locke (Vanessa Hudgens) at Wayne Security, where she works as Director of Research and Development. This is a significiant deviation from the pilot we saw at last year's Comic-Con, where Locke worked at a different company unrelated to any other DC character.

Did You Catch the Destiny Reference in Netflix’s Travelers?
New Netflix sci-fi series Travelers snuck in a fun nod to Bungie's Destiny in its first season, which is all the more clever considering the show's name.
The Canadian drama, which premiered on Showcase in October before Netflix debuted it internationally in late December, tosses in the reference in episode 8, "Donner." Reilly Dolman's Philip Pearson is making bets on a horse race, and the horse's names sound strikingly familiar.
Here's the moment, as GIFed by Redditor Paracelus:

Cars 3 Is About Lightning McQueen Facing a Midlife Crisis
Lightning McQueen will deal with more than just a near-fatal crash in Cars 3.
The red racer will also face a midlife crisis and mobile millennials in the upcoming sequel, according to Entertainment Weekly. Cars 3 director Brian Fee opened up about the narrative for the Disney/Pixar film.
“McQueen is not the young hotshot anymore, the kid he was back then in Cars 1,” Fee said. “He’s in the middle of his life, and as an athlete, that’s getting up there. You have your whole life ahead of you, yet your career is starting to show its age."

On top of that, Lightning will have a new, younger rival in the form of the tech-savvy Jackson Storm (voiced by Armie Hammer). The mobile millennial is definitely entitled in Cars 3.

It’s been a lot of fun. … A lot of things have been tied up, but not in a bow. Everyone should be nervous, because a lot of s--t happens."
