Bethesda Parent Company Awarded $500 Million in Lawsuit
UPDATE: ZeniMax may seek an injunction to prevent Facebook and Oculus from selling the Oculus Rift.
"We will consider what further steps we need to take to ensure there will be no ongoing use of our misappropriated technology, including by seeking an injunction to restrain Oculus and Facebook from their ongoing use of computer code that the jury found infringed ZeniMax’s copyrights," a ZeniMax spokesperson told IGN.
Zenimax provided the following full statement:
"We are pleased that the jury in our case in the U.S. District Court in Dallas has awarded ZeniMax $500,000,000 for Defendants’ unlawful infringement of our copyrights and trademarks, and for the violation of our non-disclosure agreement with Oculus pursuant to which we shared breakthrough VR technology that we had developed and that we exclusively own. In addition, the jury upheld our complaint regarding the theft by John Carmack of RAGE source code and thousands of electronic files on a USB storage device which contained ZeniMax VR technology. While we regret we had to litigate in order to vindicate our rights, it was necessary to take a stand against companies that engage in illegal activity in their desire to get control of new, valuable technology.
James Cameron Refutes Titanic Scenario Where Jack Lives
In James Cameron's opinion, there's no way Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) could've survived at the end of Titanic.
While doing an interview with The Daily Beast, Cameron was asked whether there's room for one more on the plank-raft for Jack. The director explained that the only possible scenario in Titanic's script was to have Jack give up his place on the raft and his life for Rose (Kate Winslet).
Cameron then went on to refute the theory presented by a Mythbusters episode detailing exactly how Jack could've made it out alive. The director wants audiences to consider the fact that Jack is swimming in 28-degree water and his brain is starting to get hypothermia.
The 100 Introduces a Threat There’s No Answer For
With The 100 kicking off a new season on Wednesday night, executive producer/showrunner Jason Rothenberg spoke to IGN about what’s next on the ever-intense CW series.
Season 4 begins with Clarke still processing that the world’s remaining nuclear power plants are on the verge of meltdown, with just months left until life will become unsustainable. Rothenberg discussed how Clarke responds to this new threat, plus the ongoing role of the Grounders on the series, and Bellamy’s new philosophy.
IGN: Everyone on this show has dealt with a lot and arguably Clarke has dealt with more than anyone. How is she handling this situation? It’s not tangible in a way that the other threats have been and it is all encompassing. Is there a fear of it overwhelming her?

Wrestling Wrap Up: Rollins Injured, May Miss WrestleMania
It's probably not the right time to panic, and I'm hope I'm blowing this way out of proportion, but WHAT THE HELLLLLLLLLL?
On RAW, Seth Rollins injured the same right knee where he previously tore his ACL -- the hurty boo boo that kept him out of action for, like, eight months -- and he's now set to be evaluated by doctors at the end of this week. How bad is it? Could he miss WrestleMania? Man, this is the absolute pits. He already missed the Rumble, for storyline purposes, and now he may miss out on 'Mania for the second year in a row. Seth Freakin' Rollins, I tell ya.
Wish I could say it was just a bad dream. pic.twitter.com/mr5vu1MEVp
Josh Gad Keeps Trying to Get Daisy Ridley to Spoil Star Wars
Josh Gad is currently doing what any of Star Wars fan would do if they were filming a movie with Daisy Ridley: continually tricking her into "work conversations" that result in him trying to get her to reveal The Last Jedi spoilers.
The context: Star Wars star Daisy Ridley and Frozen voice actor Josh Gad are currently filming a Kenneth Branagh-directed adaptation of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. Gad is a huge fan of Star Wars and once publicly begged J.J. Abrams to cast him in The Force Awakens, so after Disney revealed Star Wars: Episode VIII is titled "The Last Jedi," Gad used his close proximity to Ridley to his advantage.
Nintendo Cancels Project Giant Robot
Project Giant Robot, Nintendo's experimental Wii U game, has officially been canceled.
The title, which never had an official name, wasn't included in Nintendo's latest earnings report. The company confirmed to Polygon that it made the decision to cancel the game "after considering our overall product and development strategy.”
Project Giant Robot was first announced at E3 2014, and centers around using the Wii U GamePad to build a robot and eventually battle with it using the built-in motion controls. The game was still being listed as part of a "Launch Schedule of Primary Nintendo Products" in Nintendo's Q3 earnings report last year.
