2017 MVP Named in Puppy Bowl XIII
Nikita, an 18-week old Cocker Spaniel / Bichon Friese mix playing in her rookie year in the prestigious Puppy Bowl, has been officially named the Puppy Bowl XIII MVP. Florida's own La Femme phenomenon locked the competition up in total isolation as part of the 2017 Starting Line-Up at this year's Puppy Bowl.
The 13th year of Puppy Bowl play once again pitted the underdog Team Fluff against two-time chomp'ions, Team Ruff. This was a doo-doo or die game for the Fluff team, after losing the highest-scoring Puppy Bowl in history in 2015 and then again getting muzzled in a 70 to 44 ruff game last year. Fans were ready to chant "flee-peat" and rub the Fluff's noses in yet another loss ... but doggonit, the Fluff team refused to bark down!

Getting into Games: What Do Tools Programmers Do?
It’s easy to forget how much work goes into making a videogame, particularly the AAA kind. We tend to associate games with one or two visionaries – the Miyamotos, the Levines, the Kojimas – while overlooking the dozens, sometimes hundreds, of men and women who strive daily to implement their vision.
In this multi-part feature, we shine a light on the forgotten, the overlooked – the unsung heroes. Drawing on the expertise of over a dozen experienced developers, we get an insider’s overview of five vital but seldom celebrated roles in game development. We find out what makes these roles so important, what it’s like to work in one, and what it takes, skills and knowledge-wise, to obtain one.

Split Tosses Rings to Remain Box Office Champ
The debut of Paramount's new horror film Rings couldn't dethrone Split, which held strong in first place at the domestic box office this weekend.
M. Night Shyamalan's thriller earned an estimated $14.6 million to remain the box office leader for its third consecutive week. The $9 million film has proven to be a very profitable investment for Universal, as Split has already made a whopping $98.7 million domestically.
Meanwhile, Rings, the latest entry in Paramount's franchise, opened in second place with $13 million. As noted by Variety, the horror thriller from director F. Javier Gutierrez earned less than its predecessors, with the original Ring opening to $15 million and The Ring Two debuting to $35.1 million. Rings had a production budget of $25 million and has grossed an additional $15.2 million internationally for an estimated worldwide total of $28.2 million.
