Binding of Isaac’s Manual for Switch Is a Tribute to Zelda on NES

Nintendo Switch game cases are spacious and beg for the inclusion of an instruction manual. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ on Switch not only takes advantage of those two tabs in every Switch game case, its manual is a loving homage to the instruction booklet included with The Legend of Zelda for the NES.

From a golden cover page to a promise of quality, the manual absolutely nails the look and layout of manuals included with NES games. Even the drawings fit the style of the random art found in manuals of the past.

Take a look at the slideshow below to get a glimpse at this great throwback manual.

Aside from the great instruction manual, it's also a great game. In our Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ review, we gave it a 9.0. It's a great addition to the Switch library, if you can pry yourself away from Breath of the Wild, that is.

7 Characters Who Should Join Guardians of the Galaxy 3

Three years ago, the Guardians of the Galaxy movie took everyone by surprise on its way to becoming one of Marvel Studios’ breakout hits. Few expected this collection of cosmic misfits to resonate with the general public, and yet director James Gunn and the rest of the creative team successfully made it happen alongside an impeccably cast group of performers. And in less than two months, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 may prove to be even more successful than the original.

It’s no surprise that Marvel is already looking ahead at making Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Gunn recently indicated that the second sequel is happening, even though it’s unclear if he’ll return to helm that film. It would also likely be one of the signature movies of Marvel’s Phase 4. But one of the biggest questions about Vol. 3 is who should join the Guardians next? It’s already getting pretty crowded on the Milano, with Mantis, Yondu, and even Nebula hanging out with the team in Vol. 2. We don’t expect everyone from Vol. 2 to stay with the Guardians for the third movie, so there probably will be room for some new additions to the team. The following seven characters are the ones that we want to see, but feel free to share your selections in the comments section too!

Four Ways Spider-Man Could Be Integrated Into Venom

Months before the release of its third Spider-Man franchise, Sony has dated a Venom film for 2018. The initial reports suggest the film won’t have ties to the new Spider-Man, however, who, because of a unique deal between Sony and Marvel, is part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. This would set Venom off as its own franchise, running concurrently with but unrelated to any of the events of the upcoming Spider-Man movies.

Nintendo Switch May Eventually Support Cloud Saves After All

Nintendo appears to have a cloud save system in place for Switch that only the company itself can access.

Reddit user Patsuann sent their Switch out to Nintendo for repairs, and upon receiving and booting up the console, they noticed that while their account was on the system, none of their game saves were stored on the system memory. However, on starting up The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Patsuann noticed there was a small cloud icon next to the game.

How Into the Badlands’ Fighting Evolves in Season 2

In Dublin, Ireland, I'm watching in admiration as a very impressive martial arts battle is underway. No, a martial arts fight isn't happening on the streets of Ireland, but rather inside a soundstage, where Into the Badlands: Season 2 is filming another standout action scene, this one involving the ever-intimidating The Widow (Emily Beecham) – one of several key figures in the post-apocalyptic drama.

Take after take, those of us visiting the set watched the Widow battle through her beautiful home, more often than not with Beecham doing the moves herself (the day before included wire work we're told) - with a double stepping in only for some especially complicated moments.

When it comes to jumping into these fight scenes, Beecham remarked, “You adapt to it. You become confident with it and try and make it your own and play with it more. During the first season it was completely new experience so I was just trying to learn it as I went along. That was a massive challenge. It was really exciting. I’ve always wanted to do some action and fighting because I did a lot in my drama school many years ago. But it was quite amazing working with the Hong Kong team. This is Hong Kong style apparently - guerilla style. They don’t really choreograph it before.”

New Matrix Movie Writer Implies It’s Not a Reboot

Warner Bros.' new Matrix movie won't be a reboot, according to the film's writer.

Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk, Ready Player One) took to Twitter to briefly discuss his potential plan for a new movie in the seminal sci-fi franchise, where he confirmed he has no interest in doing a remake. Penn is especially against the idea of recasting Keanu Reeves' character Neo, and believes there's plenty of new stories to tell in the Matrix universe.

"Can't comment yet except to say that the words 'reboot' and 'remake' were from an article. Let's stop responding to inaccurate news," Penn tweeted out. "If I were going to recast Keanu Reeves, I would cast Keanu Reeves," he added. "How about just re-release the matrix? Don't reboot it, you can't do better. Do I want to see more stories set in the universe of the matrix? Yes. Because it's a brilliant idea that generates great stories."

Ridley Scott Wants Four More Alien Movies

In the event that Alien: Covenant is a success, Ridley Scott says he intends to make four more Alien films.

In an interview with Fandango, Scott was asked about his plans after Covenant, to which the director replied: "There will be another one before we kind of literally and logically, clockwise, back into the rear back head of

 Alien."

When asked how these future films would fit into the overall timeline, Scott dropped the name "Awakening" when referencing a film set between Prometheus and Covenant. "It will go Prometheus, Awakening, Covenant... fairly integral where this colonization ship is on the way..." he said.
