Leia ‘Will be Handled With Love & Respect’ in Star Wars: Ep IX

Star Wars: Episode IX director Colin Trevorrow promises the film will handle Leia Organa respectfully following the recent passing of Carrie Fisher.

In an interview with CinemaBlend, Trevorrow admitted Leia "was a major character" and there are "only certain things" that he is "willing to do" with Leia in Episode IX. While Trevorrow did not disclose exactly how he'll deal with Fisher's passing, he did promise it'll be handled correctly.

"I can guarantee it will be handled with love and respect, and all of the soul that Carrie Fisher deserves," said Trevorrow. The director also confirmed he did not have a chance to work with Fisher and hadn't finished writing the script for Episode IX before her death.

Why Wonder Woman Is So Powerful

Wonder Woman is part of DC’s trinity, but what makes her strong enough that fans regard her alongside Batman and Superman? Here’s why Wonder Woman is so powerful.

(Also, be sure to check out our review of the Wonder Woman movie.)

While Wonder Woman’s origin has changed and evolved as it has been retold over the years, one thing that remains constant is that she is a product of the gods. Whether she was molded out of clay by Amazon Queen Hippolyta and given life by the Greek pantheon or if she’s the illegitimate child of Zeus and Hippolyta, she is a demigod with divine power flowing through her veins. The Gods of Olympus bestowed blessings upon her, providing her with enhanced strength, longevity, speed, durability, senses, beauty and intelligence. Her godly nature also provides her with a natural defense against magical attacks, something that comes in handy when fighting all manner of sorcerers, witches, and supernatural monsters.

James Gunn on the Guardians Expanding into Theme Parks and Infinity War

Who would have expected Rocket Raccoon to co-exist with Mickey Mouse? The ascension of the Guardians of the Galaxy from a cult property, filled with characters few were familiar with if they didn’t read comic books, to a giant, globally popular franchise has been amazing to behold. And now that has expanded even further with the Guardians getting their own Disney theme park ride at Disney California Adventure called Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout.

The guiding force of the Guardians rise has been James Gunn, who has written and directed both of the films (and is already set to return for a third installment). Gunn was also involved in Mission: Breakout, which includes most of the core cast from the film (including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Dave Bautista), in a very entertaining, exciting experience that finds you helping Rocket free his teammates from the Collector – as you plummet up and down an elevator, in a notably effective re-tolling of the building formerly used for Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

New Action RPG The Swords of Ditto Announced

Ahead of its appearance at E3 Devolver Digital has unveiled a new action RPG with Roguelike elements set for release in 2018, The Swords of Ditto.

The single player or co-op RPG will come to PlayStation 4 and PC early next year in which players will fight to take down the evil Mormo, venturing out on "a unique adventure" with a new hero each time they play.

Developed by Onebitbeyond, Swords will log every new hero's adventure that a player journeys on, and whatever progress is made in that outing will influence the next. Say, for example, the player stops Mormo, then the next time around the Island of Ditto will be a more joyful place. Players can recover loot and weapons from previous adventures.
