It took the original Destiny a while to find its footing, but it had turned into something truly special by the time the Taken King expansion came out. During those early months, it’s clear that Bungie learned a lot about what players wanted from a massive online shooter. The promise for Destiny 2 is that Bungie will continue to build on the solid foundation the original has become. Judging from everything we’ve seen about the sequel so far, that seems to be the case. Pathfinder: Kingmaker Could Scratch Your D&D RPG Itch

Something's been missing from the recent spate of 1990s role-playing throwbacks: Dungeons & Dragons. While games like Pillars of Eternity certainly have their influences, the actual D&D rules of classics like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale haven't shown up in a major way. That's why it's a pretty big deal that Pathfinder--a popular adaptation of Dungeons & Dragons' 3.5 edition--has joined with video game developer Owlcat Games to make Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

This means we'll get a traditional fantasy world filled with dwarves, trolls, and half-elves; character classes like barbarians and clerics; and attributes like dexterity and constitution. Combined with an isometric game engine of pausable real-time tactics, just like Baldur's Gate and Pillars of Eternity, and a bunch of text and dialogue options, and Pathfinder: Kingmaker should, at the least, feel like comfort food for the RPG fan.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance Delayed Again

Medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance has been delayed to February 13, 2018, developer Warhorse Studios announced today.

According to the studio, the delay will allow the team "to secure the best quality for the future gamers and community of Kingdom Come: Deliverance." Before today's setback, the RPG was expected to be released sometime this year. It was first announced with a release window of 2016.

Alongside the announcement, Warhorse released a new story trailer focusing on the game's tale of revenge.

Last year, Warhorse announced a publishing partnership with Deep Silver. As part of the deal, Warhorse will handle digital distribution of the PC version, while Deep Silver publishes physical copies of the PC version and all PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Kingdom Come.

In a shocking twist, it turns out that Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter are... pretty dang popular. Voting never technically ends, so feel free to pop on over and cast some votes for your favorites.

One important detail to keep in mind: we limited this list to characters that originated in a fighting game, otherwise the top 10 would undoubtedly be filled with Mario, Link, Sly Cooper, and Yoda.

Opinion: Batman’s Marriage Is a Good Thing

If there's one thing that's clear about Tom King's Batman series so far, it's that King isn't afraid to push the Dark Knight in new and sometimes uncomfortable directions. In the past few months alone we've learned that a young Bruce Wayne once attempted suicide before taking up his war on crime and we have seen the adult Bruce come face-to-face with his father, the Batman of the Flashpoint timeline. But Batman #24 delivered the most significant twist yet in King's run, as Batman proposed to his long-time lover and frequent nemesis, Catwoman. It seems the DCU's ultimate bachelor is ready to settle down.

Halo: Gravemind ‘Leak’ Is “Fake News”, Says 343 Exec

The drip-drop of E3 leaks tends to become a torrent around this time of year, but that also lets unscrupulous sorts invent their own. Step up Halo: Gravemind, a hitherto unannounced Halo spin-off apparently set for release this October - which doesn't actually exist.

A purported Snapchat image of advertising materials for what looks like a horror-themed Halo game (with some connection to Halo 6, going by the logo at the bottom of the cards) had began to gain traction on social media.
