Resident Evil 2 Remake: Original Voice Actors Being Replaced

The original voices of Claire Redfield, Leon Kennedy and Ada Wong will not be returning for the Resident Evil 2 remake.

According to Claire actress Alyson Court (as reported by PCGamesN), Capcom has chosen to use non-union actors to voice the game's protagonists. Following a fan campaign for her return, she was contacted about reprising the role, but the company tasked with providing voiceover for the game in the US reportedly chose to take a different approach.

“I would have done it," Court explained in a YouTube video, "because I know you guys wanted me to, and I really appreciate your support. I appreciate the outrage you had towards Capcom and everybody involved. But unfortunately, as far as I know they chose to go non-union with the voice performances.”

Help IGN Raise Money for an Amazing Game Charity

Aren't video games brilliant? Like, they're genuinely considered to be the best, and we think they should be enjoyed by all.

That's why four of us from IGN – Krupa, Joe, Gav, and Rory, and I think it's fair to say none of us are built for running, even short distances – are raising money for the wonderful SpecialEffect.

If you'd like to donate, click right here: IGN's Fundraising Page!

If you don't know, they're a charity that uses technology, from modified controllers to eye-motion sensors, to help people with physical disabilities slay dragons, score wonder goals in FIFA, and (hopefully) get on the payload.

What’s Going to Happen in Game of Thrones: Season 7

Warning: Do not proceed any further if you don't want to know anything about anything with regards to Game of Thrones: Season 7. While some of this is merely strong speculation, it's still rather spoiler-y for those who may not want to "know nothing, Jon Snow." The night is dark and filled with hunches.

War is coming to Westeros. Full-blown, massive and mighty war featuring Lannister forces, the Ironborn, the Unsullied, the Dothraki, and -- naturally -- a flame spitting dragon or three. Season 7 is only set to run for seven weeks, but it's going to be overflowing with violence in the name of the Iron Throne.

Daenerys Targaryen, now allied with key members of the Greyjoy clan, is about to land in the Seven Kingdoms, ready to finally make good on her promise to reclaim her birthright. It's no secret that she's after Queen Cersei's spot in King's Landing, but will she see the newly reformed Northern alliance as a threat to her claim or a tool to help her win the day?

GLOW: Alison Brie on Finding Her Inner Wrestler

Debuting Friday on Netflix, GLOW is a wonderfully entertaining and involving series that tells a fictionalized account of the making of the real life GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) show from the 1980s.

Alison Brie (Community, Mad Men) stars in the series as Ruth, a struggling actress who finds herself part of a world she knows nothing about – but that she becomes determined to fully commit to. Joining her as an unlikely GLOW wrestler is Debbie (Nurse Jackie’s Betty Gilpin), her longtime best friend and fellow actress. However, the two of them are in the midst of a rather massive rift, even as they find themselves pitted against each other in the ring, with Rush as the infamous Russian "heel" and Debbie as the All-American, lovable "face."

Fantastic Four Return Teased… With a Twist

Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso tweeted an image of Thing wearing his classic, blue Fantastic Four costume except the “4” has now been replaced with a “2.” His tweet simply said, "It takes 2".

The Fantastic Four team of Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben has not been seen since the conclusion of Secret Wars in January 2016. Reed and Sue (along with children Valeria and Franklin and other members of the Future Foundation) decided to journey into the Multiverse to work on repairing the destruction caused by the war, while Ben went on to join the Guardians of the Galaxy and Johnny the Inhumans. Ben recently returned to Earth, ending his time with the Guardians.

Wrestling Wrap Up: How WWE Screwed Up with Carmella

I have a lot of opinions this week and not a lot of time to express them. Blame Netflix for the rush. You don't need full context, just... blame them.

Anyhow, currently, it's not exactly in vogue to criticize wrestling on the internet. It goes back and forth. Sometimes it's "cool," sometimes it's "for lame-o squares." Sometimes people who critique wrestling online even wind up liking things just because it pisses off other people who critique wrestling online. Sometimes people who critique wrestling online for a living somehow like it when people who don't critique wrestling online for a living -- yet critique wrestling nonetheless -- don't like things because those who do it for a living can then distance themselves from the "rabble." It sinks and swells. High tide, low tide. There are no rules for how to do this so it's ever-shifting.

5 Changes E3 Desperately Needs to Make in 2018

E3 opened its doors to the public for the first time in its 23-year run last week. Gamers who had only dreamed of attending the massive trade show event could finally walk the show floor themselves, be among the first in the world to demo the biggest upcoming games, and maybe even meet a few of their heroes. While there’s no doubt many first-time attendees had fun, a lot of them also had to face some of the Electronic Entertainment Expo’s less glamorous realities: absurdly long lines, overwhelming crowds, overpriced food, the awful heat, the utter lack of places to sit and rest, terrible swag, and this year, something relatively new — the feeling that no one was really prepared for their arrival.

Spidey Sequel to Feature Different Supporting Marvel Hero

The Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel will reportedly feature a different supporting Marvel hero.

Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man won't return for the next Spider-Man film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Instead, Sony will have the web-slinger team up with a different, to-be-determined MCU character in the sequel, which is slated for release on July 5, 2019.

THR also heard that Sony is interested in making Spider-Man movie spinoffs that focus on supervillains Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio. The two Spider-Man spinoffs that are already confirmed to be in the works are Silver and Black, based on Silver Sable and Black Cat, and the Venom solo film starring Tom Hardy, which will reportedly feature Carnage as the villain.
