Destiny Fan Event GuardianCon Raises Over $1 Million for Charity
The Destiny fan convention GuardianCon met its lofty charity goal this year, having already raised more than a million dollars for pediatric research before the show officially kicks off.
The two-day convention, running Friday, June 30 through Saturday, July 1 in Tampa, Florida, has raised $1.2 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the week preceding the event. The charity gaming stream was called #LittleLights and concluded today. It hit the target, but campaign organizers are still counting the donations coming in.
The convention itself will officially start tomorrow at the Florida State Fairgrounds. It will include a podcast theater, workshops, panels, PvP tournaments, live music, and artist booths. Passes are $30 for Friday or $50 for both days.

Namco Museum for Nintendo Switch Adds Pac-Man Vs.
Pac-Man Vs., developed in 2003 by Nintendo under Shigeru Miyamoto and Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani, will be included in Bandai Namco's upcoming Nintendo Switch version of Namco Museum.
Namco Museum, which also includes arcade classics like the original Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaga, Rolling Thunder 2, and Splatterhouse, will be available to purchase for $30 on July 28.
Pac-Man Vs. — originally on GameCube — pits three player-controlled ghosts against one player-controlled Pac-Man in the classic Pac-Man maze. Playing local multiplayer with four players requires two separate Nintendo Switch consoles. A representative for Bandai Namco told IGN that the player controlling Pac-Man will use their Nintendo Switch in tabletop mode, controlling Pac-Man with one Joy-Con controller, while the three players chasing Pac-Man can control the ghosts on the second Switch in TV mode using the remaining three Joy-Con controllers.

Halo Developer Gives Halo Fan Game Its Blessing
Halo developer 343 Industries has legally backed the Halo-based multiplayer PC fan game Installation 01.
The team behind the community-driven project revealed the news in a recent blog post, saying that after reaching out and talking to 343 about the legality of the game, 343 has officially cleared the team to continue making it.
Installation 01 is named after the Halo created by the Forerunner race and is being developed using quite a few elements from Halo 2 and Halo 3.
However, the Installation 01 developers can't sell the game for a profit or accept any donations. Selling merchandise related to the project is also not allowed as well. But, the developers can sell merchandise based on the team and the studio itself.
Westworld, The Flash, Young Justice and More Announced for Comic-Con
San Diego Comic-Con is almost upon us and Warner Bros. Television has announced they are once more bringing over 20 different TV series to the massive convention, which kicks off with a preview night on Wednesday, July 19th. Along with their returning DC Comics-based series --- including The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Gotham, iZombie, and Lucifer -- and notable WBTV shows like The 100, Riverdale, iZombie, The Big Bang Theory and Supernatural, there will be brand new series as well, including upcoming DC adaptations Krypton and Black Lightning.
Also worth noting is that Westworld is going to SDCC this summer for the first time. Last year, in the lead up to its launch, the HBO series didn’t take part in San Diego Comic-Con, though there was a panel in the fall at New York Comic Con. Now, having had a very successful first season, the show will be at SDCC with a huge panel that includes fourteen cast members, along with creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy.
