It Director to Helm Robotech Live-Action Movie

Sony has found a director for its live-action Robotech movie.

IGN can confirm It director Andrés Muschietti has signed on to helm the film adaptation of the beloved 1980s cartoon series. Muschietti will work with his sibling and creative partner Barbara Muschietti, who will produce the project along with 300 producers Mark Canton and Gianni Nunnari.

The producers behind the original series, Frank and Jehan Agrama, are also involved with the movie. The film does not have a writer or a release date yet.

A Robotech film had been gestating at Warner Bros. back in 2007. Sony picked up the rights in 2015, when it was rumored Aquaman director James Wan was Sony's top choice to helm the project.

GoT Theory: How to Save Jorah Mormont from Greyscale

Warning: Spoilers for the Game of Thrones Season 7 premiere follow.

Game of Thrones' Season 7 premiere, "Dragonstone," may have given us our first hint as to how Jorah Mormont may be cured of Greyscale, the contagious, skin-hardening disease he contracted back in Season 5.

In Old Town, while Sam and Gilly are poring over the books from the restricted area of the Citadel's library, we get a quick glimpse at what may very well be a potential cure for Jorah's affliction. Spotted by eagle-eyed Reddit user Beastmodekait (via Buzzfeed), a conveniently cut-off page seems to mention ingesting dragonglass as a potential cure for illness and disease.

Amazon’s The Tick: Character Motion Posters Reveal

Based on Ben Edlund's comic book, Amazon's new series The Tick -- focused on the character previously featured in a beloved 1990s animated series and a live-action series back in 2001 -- is ready to roll with its first season on August 25th.

The pilot episode, which debuted last year and can be seen right now on Amazon, introduced us to Peter Serafinowicz's brash blue crusader, Griffin Newman's obsessed and undersized sidekick, Arthur, and a somewhat darker and more demented tone than previous incarnations of The Tick.

With The Tick's premiere just a month away, and its second episode screening at San Diego Comic-Con this week, IGN's got new character motion posters to share with you - both heroes and villains from the new live-action series! Along with The Tick and Arthur, you'll see Valorie Curry as Arthur's sister, Dot, Brendan Hines as Superian, and the vile Overkill (Scott Speiser), Ramses (Michael Cerveris), and Ms. Lint (Yara Martinez).

Apes: What (Probably) Happened to Jason Clarke’s Dawn Character

The modern Planet of the Apes movies have taken what has turned out to be a great approach regarding its human characters: Basically, you get new humans in each new installment which serve to further the story of Andy Serkis’ Caesar and his tribe. But that also means that different humans come and go, and the go part isn’t usually too pleasant for them in the post-apocalyptic Apes world. In the first film it was James Franco’s Will Rodman. In War it’s Woody Harrelson’s Colonel, and in Dawn the main human character was Jason Clarke’s Malcolm. But interestingly, Malcolm’s fate has been up for debate… until now.

Spoilers for War for the Planet of the Apes follow.
