Marvel Announces New Star Wars Writer
Changes are coming to Marvel's ongoing Star Wars comic, as writer Jason Aaron will be stepping down from the series after October's Star Wars #37. Replacing him will be another writer plenty familiar to Star Wars readers - Kieron Gillen.
Current artist Salvador Larroca will remain on board on the series. Larroca also drew all 25 issues of Star Wars: Darth Vader Vol. 1 with Gillen.
“My aim’s simple – to do what Salva and I did with Darth Vader, but for Leia, Luke and Han. As in, chart the rise and fall of the Rebellion between A New Hope and the Empire Strikes Back, how it changes them all and how it changes the universe,” Gillen told StarWars.com. “So a simple aim, but as nightmarishly tricky to pull off as dropping a proton torpedo down a thermal exhaust port. But hopefully as thrilling if we pull it off. I can’t wait till you see it up. First up: the post-apocalyptic hell that remains of Jedha after the Death Star punched a hole through its mantle.”

When looking at worldwide figures, however, Wonder Woman still remains behind the James Gunn-directed Marvel sequel.
PUBG Adding Battle Royale Movie Cosmetics
Next week three new crates containing cosmetics inspired by the Japanese movie Battle Royale will be added to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
In an update posted to its Steam community page, the game's developer revealed the new content will come partly to "test the basic crate and key system we want to implement in the final version of the game."
Two of the new crates, the Wanderer and Survivor crates, are free to open and will contain items from two different sets of cosmetics. The third crate will be called the Gamescom Invitational Crate, referring to the recently announced LAN tournament taking place at Gamescom next month, and will have items from a much wider pool of five Battle Royale-themed cosmetic sets.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is a Darker, Tenser Uncharted
After about half an hour of playing Uncharted: The Lost Legacy at a preview event last week, it occurred to me that it’s the first Uncharted game that doesn’t feel like it’s being propelled by a cast of characters who, through thick and thin, genuinely love each other. Instead, Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross feel like little more than colleagues, brought together in the pursuit of an item called The Tusk of Ganesh, but for entirely different reasons.
Finding the Tusk is Chloe’s first independent treasure hunt, and it's supposedly one that's deeply personal, with ties to her family who, despite her appearances in Uncharted 2 and 3, we know very little about. Nadine is her gun-for-hire, and the game is set soon after she has lost her private military company, Shoreline, from Uncharted 4. Nadine wants money and perhaps a little redemption, while Chloe seems to want a reflective journey that ends with a prize. It’s a tense time for the two of them, and the story seems have a much sharper focus on the individual characters than Uncharted’s usual look at particular historical figures or artefacts.

Friday the 13th Dev Calms Fears That Development Will Stop
Friday the 13th: The Game developer IllFonic will soon release a new game, Dead Alliance, leading fears to fly among the former game's community that development would cease. IllFonic's CEO has now stepped in to reassure players this is not the case.
In a statement posted to Reddit, Chuck Brungardt wrote: "I wanted to address the concerns that IllFonic has abandoned Friday the 13th: The Game for Dead Alliance. This is 100% not true. Most major and independent studios have multiple teams working on multiple projects at the same time. This is critical for the survival of the studio, especially with the ups and downs with the game industry. Dead Alliance was started way before Friday the 13th: The Game."
