Grand Theft Auto Online Just Had Its Best Quarter Ever

Grand Theft Auto Online just had its best quarter, ever, for parent company Take-Two Interactive.

In its quarterly earnings release, Take-Two reported net revenue from digitally-delivered content grew 72% over the same period last year, with GTA Online leading the pack for "recurrent consumer spending."

Recurrent consumer spending refers to "virtual currency, downloadable add-on content and microtransactions," but it's not just GTA Online fans are spending real money on. NBA 2K17 also keeps bringing home the bacon for the company, both in recurrent spending and in over-all sales, with 2K17 now holding the title of Take-Two Interactive's best-selling sports title ever.

X-Men’s Corsair and the Starjammers Explained

The X-Men are going to space. That's really the main selling point of 2018's X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which will pick up where 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse left off and give Fox a second chance at adapting one of the most iconic X-Men stories ever told.

We already know that the X-Men will be contending with Empress Lilandra and the Shi'ar Empire in this new movie. And while it hasn't been confirmed yet, there's a good chance that Dark Phoenix will also introduce Corsair and the Starjammers, characters with a key connection to the X-Men in general and Cyclops in particular. With that in mind, we figured now was a good time to break down who these colorful space pirates are and why they're such an important part of the X-Men franchise.

Wrestling Wrap Up: Is Cena Okay After His Scary Neck Bump?

Hey, everyone. I'm back!

I know I've been gone for a few weeks but I wa...OH MY GOD!

ezgif-4-0b267c776c

HOLY HELL THAT LOOKED AWFUL! OH MAN! I FEEL UNWELL!

That was so uncalled for. Ugh. I know Cena's blood is made of pure bees and all of his bones are coated in vibranium secretly harvested from Wakanda, but this guy's already in serious danger of not being able to walk upright ten years from now. And as bad as that neck crunch looked from the angle in the above .gif, it looked even worse from the side when WWE replayed it over and over in slo-mo. It looked like when you fold up a slice of pizza to eat it like a taco. It looked like he was a cartoon coyote and had tried, and failed to blow up the roadrunner.

Game of Thrones Theory: Why Volantis Could Be Important

Volantis is a location we've seen in Seasons 5 and 6 of Game of Thrones and heard mentioned a handful of times, most recently in "The Queen's Justice." The Essos city, the most populated of the Free Cities and home to many followers of the Lord of Light, could have an important role to play in the coming war against the next Long Night and the White Walkers.

Below we discuss the possible importance of Volantis to the future of the series. Warning: Full spoilers for Game of Thrones: Season 7 continue below.

The most recent installment of Game of Thrones brought ice and fire together and almost featured what would have been a super awkward, likely bloody reunion between Melisandre, Jon Snow and Ser Davos Seaworth. Melisandre was surprisingly aware of the mistakes she'd made in the past and that neither of the visitors from Winterfell would be thrilled to find her at Dragonstone. Her presence might have been enough to cause them to leave without talking to Daenerys.
