Friday the 13th: The Game Sells 1.8 Million Copies

Gun Media and IllFonic have announced that Friday the 13th: The Game has now sold over 1.8 million copies across all platforms.

Plus, a physical release will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions on, you guessed it, Friday the 13th in October.

The physical edition will cost $40, and will come with a Bloody Jason skin variant for all playable Jason versions, and a clothing pack for all playable camp counselors.

Wes Keltner, head of Gun Media, said "while things haven't been completely smooth we definitely feel confident moving forward. The team has grown and we are committed as we work to add more content, more kills, more to do and of course the single player component to the game."

Batman, Assassin’s Creed Port Studio Working on Switch Game

Virtuos - the studio responsible for working on Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection, Batman: Return to Arkham and the recent Final Fantasy remasters - is currently "porting a AAA title to Nintendo Switch".

Spotted by YouTuber Doctre81 (via NeoGAF), a LinkedIn profile for a Virtuos programmer lists a work-in-progress project for Switch.

No indication is given as to what title that might be, and much of Virtuos' past work makes for a good fit. Batman: Arkham City was ported to Wii U previously, Ubisoft is one of Nintendo's closest third-party partners, and Square Enix already has more than one project in production for Switch.

Warning: this article contains spoilers for X-Men Gold #9!

This issue sees the X-Men struggling to move forward from their recent battle with the new X-Cutioner. And for some, that means dealing with some lingering sexual tension. It seems that longtime friends and teammates Nightcrawler and Prestige are headed into a relationship, despite the latter's misgivings about dating a teammate. Not that you can blame her, given all the trouble her father got into with the X-Women in his life.

Warning: this article contains spoilers for Justice League #26!

This issue kicked off a new storyline called "Legacy," one that builds on a number of loose ends from writer Bryan Hitch's previous Justice League and Justice League of America work. Much of this issue takes place in a dystopian future ruled by an Olympian monarch called "The Sovereign." Standing in her way are a new generation of Justice Leaguers, all of whom appear to be descended from the present-day League. The issue ends with the future League travelling back in time to meet their parents.

Everwood Creators, Cast Talk Revival Likelihood

The WB's small-town drama Everwood didn't make it to the air when the network merged with UPN in 2006—but it's made the CW lineup at last, sort of, as an addition to the network's streaming service, CW Seed. In honor of the 15th anniversary of the premiere—and its availability on streaming at last—the network gathered nearly the entire regular cast (minus Star Lord himself, Chris Pratt, who got his start on the series) to reminisce about the family show.

Pratt has spoken of his fondness for Everwood on numerous occasions, and although he wasn't present for the reunion (filming blockbusters like the Jurassic World sequel really does a number on a man's availability), his castmates remembered plenty about his time on the show. Below, eight revelations from the panel—including just how much they, too, love Chris Pratt.

Arrow: Oliver Queen Still Has a Team Arrow Despite Deaths

After the cliffhanger ending to Arrow: Season 5, the creative team behind the show has promised there will be casualties to Team Arrow. But executive producer Marc Guggenheim promises that there still will be some semblance of a Team Arrow in Season 6.

"The whole idea behind the cliffhanger is that there are consequences to the explosions on the Island that affect Oliver and affect the surviving members of his team. Spoiler alert: we didn't kill off everyone except for Oliver and one person," Guggenheim told reporters at the summer 2017 TV Critics' Association press tour. "He still will have a team, just the question is what is the composition of that team, and how are they all affected by the trauma of what happened at the end of last year. I like to say, for us, it's more than a binary thing of who lives and who dies. There are consequences that we're also playing around as a result of what happens at the end there."

Legends of Tomorrow’s New Villain Is a ‘Non-Human Entity’

After the success of the Legion of Doom in DC's Legends of Tomorrow: Season 2, the upcoming season of The CW series will again be uniting a team of villains. This time, though, there will be a different sort of person in charge.

"At the head of whatever you want to call our evil organization, it's different. Last year it was three characters from the three different shows that form this alliance. This is a non-human entity," executive producer Phil Klemmer told IGN at the 2017 TV Critics' Association summer press tour. "This is a much more supernatural, spooky vibe this season. We're dealing more with magic. It's less real-world bad guys."

Klemmer was keen to leave that character a secret, but he did promise you will hear the character's name in the Season 3 premiere. Unlike previous seasons which are more science or time-travel focused, Season 3 of Legends will "be more in the world of the occult and monsters."
