Spotify Reportedly Coming to Xbox One

It looks like you might be listening to your Spotify library on your Xbox One before long.

A screenshot of Microsoft's Larry Hryb (aka Major Nelson) reportedly testing a Spotify app for Xbox One surfaced earlier on Reddit this week. According to The Verge, a Spotify app is indeed in the works and coming to the Xbox One soon.

When reached for comment, a representative for Microsoft said "We’re always working on a number of new experiences for Xbox One owners, many times with great music playing in the background, but have nothing to announce today."

Bungie Outlines Destiny 2’s Streaming Restrictions on PC

In an effort to keep the playing field level for Destiny 2 on PC, support for third-party streaming and game capture applications will be limited.

Bungie outlined the restrictions in a post on its official site, noting the Game Capture mode of programs like XSplit and OBS are not supported. However, you'll be able to use the Screen Capture and Window Capture modes in OBS and XSplit while playing in Windowed Mode.

Other game capture programs, like Razer Cortex, Fraps and Dxtory have similar limitations.

Those who wish to capture footage of Destiny 2 while playing in Exclusive Fullscreen can use a dedicated streaming PC, as well as capture hardware like Elgato and AVerMedia. Bungie also notes that both AMD ReLive and NVIDIA Shadowplay are supported.

John Boyega on Making Detroit

I chatted with John Boyega on the phone this week to discuss his new film Detroit (read IGN's review), his return as Finn in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and starring in the sequel to Pacific Rim.

Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, Detroit is a docudrama chronicling the 1967 riots that swept that city, with a particularly brutal emphasis on what transpired at the Algiers Motel when three white cops terrorized a group of black men and two white women. Boyega plays a real-life figure, Melvin Dismukes, a security guard who becomes involved in the terrifying events at the Algiers.

Game of Thrones New Episode Leaks

Sunday’s upcoming fourth episode of Game of Thrones, “Spoils of War,” has apparently leaked this morning. The source of the leak, according to The Verge, is HBO’s distribution partner, Star India, whose watermark appears on the leaked version of the episode. In a statement to The Verge, Star India confirms it was the source of the leak, saying, “This is a grave issue and we are taking appropriate legal remedial action.”

The leak appears to be unrelated to the recent HBO hack. During that “cyber incident” programming data and scripts appear to have been stolen, and HBO has cautioned viewers about spoilers appearing online. The hackers specifically threatened to release more information about the network’s shows, including Game of Thrones, Ballers, and Room 104.

How Project CARS 2 Is Positioning Itself as 2017’s Serious Racer to Beat

Back in July 2015 three inches of snow fell on Mount Panorama, Bathurst – the home of Australia’s most-famous racetrack. Snowfall like this reportedly wasn’t uncommon prior to the 1950s but these days it’s a very unusual occurrence. The dump in 2015 was the most seen there since the mid-1980s, when the mountain copped a serving of snow in the lead-up to the 1984 Bathurst 1000.
