Patty Jenkins Close to Closing Wonder Woman 2 Deal
Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins is in final negotiations to helm the sequel.
Though Wonder Woman 2 was officially confirmed at Comic-Con last month, Jenkins' involvement beyond writing a treatment for the film was still up in the air. Deadline reports that the reason behind this came down to Jenkins' negotiations about her salary after Wonder Woman was such a smash hit for Warner Bros, stating that Jenkins has been fighting for a salary on par with a male director in the wake of such a successful first film.

Rick and Morty Studio Seeks Funding for Fantasy Book
Starburns Industries, the studio co-founded by Rock and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon, is holding a Kickstarter campaign to raise $37,000 to finance publication of its 182-page illustrated dark fantasy novel, The Crawling King.

Each page has already been completed and has been dirtied, damaged, torn and had its edges burnt by hand prior to being photographed on black velvet.
Splatoon 2 Topped Software Sales for July 2017
According to figures released by The NPD group, Nintendo Switch was the top-selling console for July 2017, and Splatoon 2 was the month's best selling game in the US.
Splatoon 2's success, coupled with "new inventory released in support of the launch" helped drive Switch to the top spot. Overall, hardware spending was up 29 percent over July 2016. Sony's PlayStation 4 came in second, having taken the top-selling console spot for June 2017.
Nintendo had three games in the top seven over the month, making it the "best-selling software publisher" for the month.
Finn Jones Comes to Iron Fist’s Rescue
With Marvel’s The Defenders debuting on Netflix tomorrow, we hopped on the phone with Finn Jones, the actor who plays Danny Rand aka Iron Fist. He gave us some insight on his character heading into the team-up show and also addressed a few sticking points about Danny Rand.
Defenders is set about three months after the events of Iron Fist, and we first meet Danny in Cambodia where he’s tracking down a member of the Hand. As you’ll remember from the end of Iron Fist Season 1 (spoilers!), when Danny returned home to K’un L’un, the city had disappeared and some of his fellow monks were dead in the snow, the result of an assumed Hand attack.
“At the end of Iron Fist, Danny feels very guilty that he left his responsibilities, he ****ed up basically,” Jones said. “He realized how he allowed his own emotions and his own inner recklessness to get in the way of his responsibility and the result was the loss of his home and somewhere where he grew up for 15 years. He's being driven by guilt to take down the Hand, so we're seeing a much more purposeful and driven Danny at the beginning of Defenders.”
World of Tanks’ War Stories: 9 Things You Need to Know
World of Tanks may have started on PC, but over the last three and a half years it has also gone from strength to strength on console – to the tune of 12 million downloads, starting out on Xbox 360, but now available on Xbox One (with 360 cross-play), PS4 and PS4 Pro, with Xbox One X to come. This World of Tanks ecosystem was built from the ground up for console, and indeed, while the PC game is developed out of Belarus, World of Tanks on console has been overseen from the very beginning by Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore (formerly Day 1 Studios).
The differences between PC and console are now very significant. In addition to the things you’d expect, like UI and game balance differences, World of Tanks on console also boasts plenty of exclusive content, including maps, vehicles and tech implementations like climate changes. The Chicago-Baltimore team also maintains a “very aggressive” update cadence, with a monthly update cycle to roll in new content and changes.
