Finn Balor Has Moved Beyond Bullet Club…for Now
Finn Balor, and his "Demon" persona, will step through the ropes in a few days time to square off against Bray Wyatt at WWE SummerSlam - emanating from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, August 20th.
On the same card that will feature Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship and Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar all battling for the WWE Universal Championship, Balor will don the black body paint and channel his inner torment to topple Wyatt and thwart the mind games.
But that wasn't always Balor's answer to Bray Wyatt. When I spoke to Balor, before this week's RAW, he had no intention of becoming the "Demon," saying...
The William Shatner Interview
The greatest of the Star Trek movies -- and one of the greatest sci-fi films ever made -- Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan turned 35 this year. And to celebrate that anniversary, Fathom Events is bringing the film back to theaters for a two-day only celebration.
Icon William Shatner, who of course stars in the film as the equally iconic James T. Kirk, has recorded a new video interview for the event, which will feature the digitally remastered Director's Cut of Wrath of Khan. The screenings will take place on Sunday, September 10th and Wednesday, September 13th in more than 600 theaters across the U.S. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices.
Luke Skywalker’s Best Stories Beyond the Movies
As one of the main characters in the Star Wars galaxy, Luke Skywalker isn't suffering from a shortage of stories. You can see him front and center in the whole of the original trilogy and for slightly less time in The Force Awakens. Yes, that is a joke.
Initially, Luke Skywalker was a farm boy on an out of the way planet and didn't seem to have much beyond a vague idea about what was happening in the broader universe. The Empire hadn't found a resource to exploit on Tatooine, so the white buckets of stormtroopers weren't a common sight -- certainly not as common as in towns and on planets that were hosting garrisons. Luke was thrown into the bigger picture headfirst after he purchased C-3PO and R2-D2 and met Obi-Wan Kenobi. He went through a dazzling amount of change in a relatively short period of time.
Lucasfilm Banks on Tradition With Obi-Wan Movie
Thursday's news that Lucasfilm is indeed developing a standalone Obi-Wan Kenobi movie strongly suggests Lucasfilm is doubling down on known, commercially proven characters and veteran filmmakers when it comes to their still-burgeoning Star Wars anthology films.
The selection of that venerable character -- first played by Alec Guinness in the original trilogy and then Ewan McGregor in the subsequent prequels -- signals that Lucasfilm wants to bring stability to these Star Wars Stories, the first two of which -- Rogue One and Han Solo -- have been rocked by production challenges and behind-the-scenes drama, especially when it comes to the directors involved. Rogue One ended up cracking $1 billion at the global box office, but not without months of reports about the troubled production and a significant creative overhaul in which veteran filmmaker Tony Gilroy played a key role.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Story Details Revealed
The Pokemon Company has revealed new details of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, including a hint at its story, a new Z-Ring type, and a new Dual Edition of the game.
Previously, we were only told that Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon would tell an "alternate story" in the same world as the original Sun and Moon games. We now know the game's story will focus on mysterious legendary Necrozma, and its connection to Solgaleo and Lunala.
"Ominous dark clouds begin to spread", reads a new press release, "and the secrets of Necrozma and the Alola region, which were never disclosed in the previous games, will finally come to light." The Pokemon website also explains that new buildings and landscapes will appear, too.
Come and Watch the IGN UK Podcast Episode 400 Spectacular
The Sun is 400 times bigger than the Moon, but is 400 times further away from Earth, allowing for the illusion that they are the same size in the sky. In the Year 400 AD, the Great Palace of Constantinople was burned to the ground. The Four Hundred was a short-lived oligarchy in Ancient Athens, and a snobby social group in 19th Century New York.
What we're trying to say is that the IGN UK Podcast turning 400 episodes old is a much bigger and more important deal than any of these other things. Which is precisely why we're holding a big London live show to celebrate. You ever see a live show for the Great Palace of Constantinople? Suck it, Byzantium.
Alex, Alysia, Dale, Daniel, Gav, Joe, Rory and our newest recruit, Simon will be taking to the stage of Boondocks in Shoreditch, London on the evening of Friday, Sep 15 - come and join us!
How DC Comics Is Improving Creator Relations
DC is clearly placing a lot of muscle behind the new Dark Matter imprint. Spinning out of the events of Dark Nights: Metal, the Dark Matter line will pair some of DC's top writers and artists on new series that emphasize bold storytelling and new ideas and characters. Between Jeff Lemire and Ivan Reis' Fantastic Four-esque The Terrifics and James Tynion IV and Jim Lee's The Immortal Men, there's plenty of reason for readers to be excited about this new initiative. But the most important element of Dark Matter isn't the books or creators involved, but the way it has the potential to reshape the relationship between DC and its creative talent pool.
