Twin Peaks: “No Discussions” for More Episodes

At least for now, Twin Peaks' lead actor has heard nothing about another series of the beloved show.

In the aftermath of Twin Peaks' dark, disturbing finale - which we loved - many fans have been left scratching their heads and wondering what's next for the series. With many questions left unanswered, and even some new questions posed, there still seems to be a lot of processing to be done - and that's also true of the show's stars, at least in the case of Kyle MacLachlan.

In an interview with Deadline, MacLachlan says that he is "very moved" by the finale, and that even he is "not even sure" where he stands on it, other than describing it as "incredibly powerful".

The Last Jedi: Details on Poe Dameron’s X-Wing Revealed

We have a few more details on Poe Dameron's new vehicle of choice for the movie, a souped-up X-Wing known as "Black One", which has been modified by the Resistance.

Empire has also offered us our first look at the ship with an exclusive reveal:

Empire also reveals further information from Last Jedi director Rian Johnson; namely that the additional equipment fixed to the rear of the X-Wing is a temporary accelerator pod; in a pinch, this can provide a temporary burst of speed to evade enemy ships, although it will burn out if used for too long.

Top 10 Batman: The Animated Series Episodes

There’s no doubt that Batman: The Animated Series is the greatest superhero cartoon of all time. For many of us, Batman: TAS holds the most hallowed incarnations of these great characters, from Kevin Conroy’s Batman to Mark Hamill’s Joker. It introduced many new ideas that would later be brought to the comics and other interpretations, not the least of which is the breakout character Harley Quinn, as well as launch an entire universe of animated stories set in the DC Universe.

Since this week marks the 25th anniversary of the show's debut, we’re celebrating our 10 favorite episodes of the innovative series. But it’s worth noting that we’ve excluded episodes that were adapted from specific comics. Great segments like “Mad Love,” “Legends of the Dark Knight,” and “The Laughing Fish” are all undeniably fantastic, but we thought it better to point out episodes that were wholly created for the show. So with that said, here are our picks for the top 10 Batman: The Animated Series episodes ever...

Square-Enix Avengers Game Will Feature 3rd Person Action

Crystal Dynamics' upcoming Avengers game will feature "social", "shared" online play, and will - at least in combat sections - resemble a "3rd person cover based action adventure game".

Back in January, Marvel announced that it was entering into a multi-year, multi-game partnership with Square Enix - the first product of which was announced as an upcoming Avengers game; very few details were announced at the time and the game has remained quietly in development ever since, but now it seems that we might have our first idea of the direction in which the game is headed.

Thanks to NeoGAF user Nirolak, we have a couple of job postings from Square-Enix subsidiary Crystal Dynamics for the upcoming game, which is currently referred to as "The Avengers Project".

Ark: Survival Evolved: New Expansion Announced

Ark: Survival Evolved only came out of Early Access and into full release just over a week ago, but it's already lining up an expansion, set to arrive sometime next month.

As reported over on VideoGamer, "Aberration", the latest expansion for the action-adventure survival game, features a damaged Ark which has lost its internal atmosphere. In an underground setting, the new content will see players battling radioactive sunlight and a new enemy in the form of the Nameless - a violent creature that appears to shy away from the light.

There's also the addition of 50 extra craftable items, ranging from hazmat suits to rail guns, for players who are looking for additional value from another expansion to the recently-launched game.

Lego: 1.400 Jobs to Go Following Drop in Sales

Danish toymaker Lego has announced that it's cutting 1,400 jobs globally by the end of this year, following its first drop in sales since 2004.

The Guardian reports that the company - which celebrated its 85th anniversary last month - has seen revenue fall 6% (down to 14.9bn Danish krone, or £1.8bn), with net profit down 3%, following weaker demand from its established bases in the USA and parts of Europe.

Describing the job losses as a "reset button" and admitting that the company has become "too complex" to support global growth, the company's goal is to "reach more children" in Europe and the United States, as well as capitalising on their recent double-digit growth in China. The plan is to achieve this by utilising a "smaller and "less complex" organisation and "simplify" the business model, the first steps of which are the job losses.

Chucklefish CEO Teases “Stardew Valley Meets Harry Potter”

Finn Brice, CEO of Chucklefish (publishers of Stardew Valley) has posted a tweet that teases the company's next home-grown title:

Not much is known about the title as of yet, although Brice has alluded to an upcoming project in the past which he characterised as being "Stardew Valley meets Harry Potter". It's important to note that by "Harry Potter", he's referring to the idea of witches and wizards attending a magical school, rather than indicating any formal crossover between the two franchises (although yes please let's go).
