What Is and Isn’t in FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch

FIFA 18 marks the long-running soccer franchise’s return to Nintendo systems after an absence since 2014. But the return of EA’s series, now on the NIntendo Switch, isn’t without its drawbacks.

EA has previously disclosed that FIFA 18 wouldn’t be feature-complete when compared to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, as well as that it’s not running on EA’s internal Frostbite engine. With the game now out, and headlining one of Switch’s most-packed release weeks yet, we have a clearer picture of what is — and what isn’t — included in the Switch version of FIFA 18, as well as some explanation from previous EA interviews about these features’ respective absences.

Elon Musk Plans Mars Rocket, City-to-City Rocket Travel

Elon Musk wants to fly you to Mars, the Moon, or NYC, all using the same rocket.

Musk, whose SpaceX and Tesla companies have evolved from pie-in-the-sky ideas to private space flight and auto-piloting car realities, announced the plans in a speech in Adelaide, Australia.

The rocket system would have more room onboard than an Airbus A380 commercial airliner and travel at a maximum speed of 17,000 mph. Trips from New York City to London would take just 29 minutes.

"If we’re building this thing to go to the moon and Mars, why not go other places as well?" Musk asked, according to The Washington Post.

A Men In Black Spinoff Has Been Announced For 2019

A new Men in Black spinoff film is in the works, but there is no plan at the moment for Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to return as J and K.

According to Deadline, Sony Pictures has fast tracked the film for release on May 17, 2019.

The movie already has a script, which comes from Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. Holloway and Marcum have written other movies such as Iron Man and Transformers: The Last Knight. This currently untitled sequel also has Steven Spielberg on board as an executive producer. What it does not have yet, though is a director or any actors.

Lynda Carter Tells James Cameron To “Stop Dissing” Wonder Woman

Lynda Carter, who helped popularize the character of Wonder Woman with her portrayal of the Amazonian on 1970s television, has taken James Cameron to task for his recent comments on Wonder Woman.

Cameron, the director of such films as Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Avatar, has been quite critical of the recent Wonder Woman film directed by Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot.

Cameron called the Wonder Woman of Jenkins' film a "step backwards" for female representation. After getting backlash for his statement, Cameron stood his ground in terms of his criticism, particularly in comparison to his own character of Sarah Connor, as portrayed by Linda Hamilton.

Opinion: Marvel Legacy Is No DC Rebirth

Stop me if you've heard this one before. A popular publisher of superhero comics has hit a prolonged rough patch after years of questionable storytelling decisions and declining sales. In order to turn things around, they steer ahead with a massive relaunch that aims to both honor the company's powerful legacy and embrace a brighter, more exciting future. That relaunch kicks off with a special one-shot comic that introduces some huge plot twists, brings fan-favorite characters back into the spotlight and features fourth wall-breaking narration by a long-absent hero.

That's where DC was in May 2016 at the start of DC Rebirth, and Marvel finds itself in the exact same position now as the Legacy relaunch gets underway. The similarities between DC Universe Rebirth #1 and Marvel Legacy #1 really are pretty blatant. The one key difference between the two books is that, while they're both successful at what they set out to accomplish, they ultimately succeed for different reasons. If Marvel Legacy does succeed in its mission to redeem Marvel, it won't be for the same reasons Rebirth has salvaged DC.

Ghosted to Pay Homage to The X-Files’ Legacy

On Sunday, October 1st, FOX - home to iconic TV series The X-Files - will premiere Ghosted, a new paranormal action comedy about an ex-cop and an ex-professor joining forces to explore the possibility of aliens, ghosts, and anything else that might go bump in the night.

The show/network pairing is most definitely purposeful too, according to stars Adam Scott and Craig Robinson, and creator Tom Gormican, who I had the pleasure of speaking to back at the Austin Television Festival.

"It's beyond appropriate," Robinson said, of Ghosted airing on FOX. "That's why we wanted to be in it. FOX recognized that too and were very excited about it."

"Yeah, from the very start, before we ever spoke to Tom about this I thought 'this has got to be on FOX'." Scott explained. "It's perfect. And they felt the same way, luckily." Gormican then added that part of what made The X-Files stand out was the horror element, noting "There isn't really another sort of horror genre comedy on TV and that's something we're going to lean into. And there's no other network other than FOX really for people who've tried to spore that on the drama side."
