Justice League Cast on Zack Snyder vs. Joss Whedon’s Influence
With Justice League only weeks away from hitting theaters, it was inevitable that there would be discussion about the transition of directing duties from Zack Snyder, who stepped away from the film due to personal tragedy, to Joss Whedon, who handled directing reshoots.
At a press conference at the film's London junket, star Ben Affleck and producer Deborah Snyder spoke out about the transition between the two directors, and why, in their minds, Justice League remains Snyder's movie.
"The movie is Zack's DNA," said Affleck, who reprises his role of Batman/Bruce Wayne from the Snyder-directed Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. "He cast the movie, he designed the movie. People, I think, don't understand who don't work on movies, which is how much work is done in prep. The casting, the sets get built, the story is written, the ship is in essence sailing.

With Marvel Legacy now in full swing, readers have 53 different comic book series to choose from, so we’re pointing out which ones are worth your time. This might mean they have an exciting concept, an especially good creative team, or they pick up on one of the major plot threads in Marvel Legacy #1.
If you already know all about Marvel Legacy, you can skip the first section, but for everyone else, here’s a primer that tells you everything you need to know.
What is Marvel Legacy?
Marvel Legacy is the name of Marvel Comics’ latest relaunch, one that promises to embrace the classic elements of its characters. It is not a reboot, so nothing is starting over from scratch. It’s not an event comic or a single story. It’s more of clean starting point as well as a mission statement for how Marvel is going to approach its stories and characters going forward.
The Biggest Disappointments of BlizzCon 2017
While BlizzCon’s opening ceremony had a whole bunch of exciting announcements, there were also a few disappointments along the way.
Some things we were hoping for or expecting didn’t show, and even some stuff we knew wasn’t coming still stung. Here are the four biggest disappointments of the show:
While the free-to-play reveal was exciting, Starcraft 2 otherwise had a very slow year. Apart from a little bit of co-op content that we heard next to nothing about, we didn’t see anything new.
Blizzard Easter Eggs in the New Overwatch Map
Greetings fellow Heroes! Blizzard just released the trailer for a new Overwatch map coming soon called Blizzard World. It's a Blizzard-themed amusement park that doubles as a museum chock-full of cool references. Though the trailer is relatively quick, we see a ton of Easter eggs and cool nods to all of Blizzard’s franchises. Let’s run through all the different references we can find:
Right off the bat we get a look at a section themed around the World of Warcraft Alliance city of Stormwind, and the Stormwind heroes - these massive statues that flank the bridge leading into the city.
These are the Alliance heroes that traveled through the dark portal into Draenor to seal a rift and were memorialized in stone. On the left you can spot Kurdran Wildhammer, Thane of the Aerie Peak, Archmage Khadgar, and General Turalyon, the leader of the expedition, in the background under the archway.
Lord of the Rings TV Series Possibly Coming to Amazon
A television series based on J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved The Lord of the Rings novels could be headed to Amazon.
According to Variety, Warner Bros. TV and the Tolkien estate are in the early stages of negotiations with Amazon Studios to develop the series. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is allegedly personally involved in the talks.
It's important to note that a deal has not yet been set, and representatives from Warner Bros. and Amazon refrained from commenting on the reported negotiations.
Warner Bros. TV and the Tolkien estate's decision to begin shopping a series based on The Lord of the Rings has reportedly resulted in quite a bit of competition for the project, with Amazon coming out on top as the frontrunner studio.

4 Biggest Things Announced at Blizzcon 2017 – IGN Access
This year’s BlizzCon was full exciting announcements, from game expansions to system overhauls. There’s a whole lot to look forward to, but here’s the most exciting news:
While its custom games were already open to anyone, Starcraft 2’s base game is becoming totally free on November 14. That means you’ll soon be able to play through the Wings of Liberty story content and even jump onto the ranked ladder without paying a cent.
You’ll have to buy the Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void expansions separately (though current Wings of Liberty owners will get Heart of the Swarm free), but the base game is by no means small on its own.
Blizzard World Skins Coming to Overwatch
A new batch skins, inspired by the upcoming Blizzard World map, are coming soon to Overwatch.
Blizzard announced the news during its Overwatch - What's Next? panel at BlizzCon 2017. These skins, which you can view below, will be released sometime early next year and can be acquired via base loot boxes. They're also not part of any special event, meaning players can acquire the skins all year round.
Blizzard also announced the Blizzard World map for Overwatch, which pulls inspiration from all of Blizzard's various games. The map, which is a Blizzard-themed amusement park, will go live for Overwatch players next year and will be available on the PTR very soon.
