Destiny 2: Mercury Exploration, Public Events, and Strike Preview
Mercury, the centerpiece to the Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris expansion, is going to be your newest destination. However, there may not be that much to investigate. The scope of the area we were allowed to play felt much smaller than any of the other locations I’ve seen. We're told branches will open up if you begin a Public Event or quest, but those moments are supposedly only tied to specific instances. I wish I could give you a better impression of the area, but because it was so small and only has one new Public Event and one Lost Sector (which I hadn’t found), I was left feeling like the space was fairly light on activities. That openness is supposed to happen after the campaign, but that's when our demo ended. With that in mind, here’s what I can talk about.
Splatoon 2’s Creative Team Details New Major Updates
With two massive updates just around the corner, the Squid Research Lab has been hard at work preparing a slew of new content for the Inklings of Splatoon 2, including two major free updates. IGN spoke with Splatoon 2 producer Hisashi Nogami and Directors Shintaro Sato and Seita Inoue to discuss some of the upcoming added content and what the future holds for the multiplayer shooter.
As announced earlier today, the first free update dropping on Nov. 23 adds new gear and hairstyles for Inklings, a brand new stage for Salmon Run mode, an increase in level cap, and four new battle stages. The second update coming in mid-December introduces a new Ranked Battle mode called Clam Blitz.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Looks Set to Continue Nintendo’s Hot Streak
Some people don't like the art style of Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Me? I was surprised to find myself ever so slightly annoyed when the first combat sequence popped up to remind me that I was, in fact, playing a game.
In the few minutes before that moment, I might as well have been watching an expertly made anime about a young man named Rex, who ekes out his existence as a salvager on a cloud-covered sea while living on the back on dragon-like "Titan." Barely had the opening credits slipped past, and I found I already cared about the duo. For that matter, I admired the way the anime art style gave Rex's expressions a semblance of life that 3D animation still often lacks. Those opening moments were enough to prove that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is doing right by its story-based approach after the relatively unsatisfying exploration-based Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Battlefield 1: Turning Tides DLC Release Date Announced
Battlefield 1's Turning Tides DLC will begin rolling out in December.
As detailed on the game's official website, the first of the new maps — Cape Helles and Achi Baba — will be released on December 11 for Battlefield 1 Premium Pass owners. This will also include six new weapons and two new melee weapons, like the M1917 Trench Carbine and Maschinenpistole M1912/P.16.
Also featured in the December 11 content is a new Operation set in 1915 on the Gallipoli peninsula and the L-Class Destroyer.
This will be followed by the the remaining two maps focusing on the North Sea— Heligoland Bight and Zeebrugge — which will launch sometime in January. This second batch of content will include the British Empire: Royal Marines faction and the C-Class Airship.
Ranking the Movie Batmans
With Ben Affleck confirming that he has hung up his cape and cowl and won't be playing Batman again, the time has come to once again light up the Bat-Signal, call all the Dark Knights to action, and figure out who the best movie Batman truly is.
Whether they appeared only once as the Caped Crusader or starred in a full-fledged trilogy, these stars all hold the honor of donning the cape and cowl of Gotham's one true protector. Whether it was an animated release, a colorful tongue-in-cheek romp, or a grounded and gritty take on the vengeful vigilante, the following actors breathed life, for better or worse, into Bruce Wayne and his cranky costumed alter ego. (And a note: We're not including the Batmen from the old movie serials here because movie serials aren't really movies.)
New Star Wars: The Last Jedi TV Spot Teases Rey’s Conflict
A new TV spot for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been released, and it offers a brief glimpse at the internal conflict that Rey (Daisy Ridley) will face in the highly anticipated film.
In the 30-second teaser, aptly titled "Tempt," we hear Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) tell Rey to "reach out" before asking her what she sees. Rey responds by saying, "Light, darkness... and something else." She then says it's calling out to her, and Skywalker exclaims "resist it, Rey!"
The arrival of this brief teaser follows shortly after the release of another TV spot, which offers a better look into the dynamic between Luke and Kylo Ren.

Gears of War 4 Added to Xbox Game Pass
Gears of War 4 will be added to Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass line-up on December 1.
It's one of the most-high-profile additions to the service so far, and means the pass now lets subscribers play every entry in the Gears series on one console.
Other games coming December 1 include Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, Mega Man 10, This War of Mine: The Little Ones, Casey Powell Lacrosse 16, and Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter.
Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft's Netflix-like subscription service, lets players play a vast library of games in exchange for a monthly fee.
Although normally $10 a month, Xbox Live Gold members can currently score a month of Xbox Game Pass for $1 through a promotion on Xbox Live.
