6 Things We Learned on the Set of Duncan Jones’ Mute
Before Warcraft, before Source Code, before Moon, director Duncan Jones was working on a script for a film called Mute. Jones has had his story of a near-future Berlin, and the troubles of a voiceless, Amish bartender in his head for 15 years - and it’s finally coming out.
I was lucky enough to visit the movie’s chilly Berlin set, and talk to the director himself - here’s what I learned along the way.

EA Mistakenly Lists Burnout Paradise Remastered With Microtransactions
Players were, to put it politely, confused by a store listing for the newly-announced Burnout Paradise Remastered that included a mention of microtransactions - but EA's now clarified that it was an error.
EA's Ben Walke took to Twitter to clarify that this was a mistake, not an added feature:
Just a heads up, but the store listing for #BurnoutParadise that mentions "In-game purchases optional" is an error. There is no MTX or any additional paid for content. Pitch forks down please. pic.twitter.com/hPX8gLKiAG

Disney's live-action Pinocchio film has reportedly found a new director in Paddington's Paul King.
King directed both of the recent Paddington movies, and has replaced Bond movie director Sam Mendes, who left the project last year, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

James Bond 25 Eyes Director Danny Boyle
MGM and Eon reportedly want Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle to helm the next James Bond film.
Variety reports the filmmaker is high on MGM's list but also claims a formal offer hasn't been made yet. Boyle is reportedly interested in taking on the project and has always wanted to direct a Bond movie.
MGM and Eon have wanted Boyle to helm a Bond film since 2012's Skyfall, according to Variety. Boyle ended up directing the 2012 Olympics opening instead, which featured Daniel Craig's 007. Yann Demange (White Boy Rick, '71) was previously tipped as a top choice for directing but with Annapurna now distributing Bond 25 in the US MGM and Eon are reportedly pushing for a bigger name.

Sledgehammer Co-Founders Leave Company
Sledgehammer Games co-founders Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield have left the studio, but will remain with publisher Activision to pursue other projects.
Kotaku has obtained statements from Activision, Condrey and Schofield, confirming the pair have left the studio they co-founded in 2009. Aaron Halon will take over as boss of Sledgehammer, and oversee the current DLC season of Call of Duty: WWII, the most recent title that Condrey and Schofield directed last year.
"Following the incredible success of Call of Duty: WWII, Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey have decided to transition from their duties at Sledgehammer Games to new executive duties inside Activision," read the statement from Activision. "We thank Glen and Michael for their tremendous body of work on Call of Duty and look forward to continuing to collaborate with them in their new roles. These changes have created an opportunity to elevate one of the key leaders at the studio, Aaron Halon, to lead Sledgehammer Games. Aaron is a founding member of Sledgehammer Games and the natural fit to lead the team. He has over 20 years of industry experience and has played an instrumental role throughout the studio's history. We congratulate Aaron and are thrilled about the future of Sledgehammer Games, which we believe has even bigger days ahead."
Black Panther Director Explains THAT Character’s Absence
Black Panther director Ryan Coogler has explained why a certain character isn't in the film.
Warning: Spoilers for Black Panther follow...
While speaking on Empire's podcast (via Collider), Coogler discussed why Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) doesn't appear in the film until after the credits. At the end of Captain America: Civil War, Bucky arrived in Wakanda on ice in order to wait for scientists to find a cure for him. However, despite being in Wakanda all throughout Black Panther, Bucky doesn't show up until the post-credits scene.
