DC Releasing Prelude to the Wedding One-Shots Before Batman and Catwoman Marry

Batman and Catwoman are tying the knot in July, but before they do, DC is releasing a series of Prelude To The Wedding one-shots in June.

Comicbook.com reports the five stories will be written by Tim Seeley (Green Lanterns, Hellblazer), who will be joined by a number of artists from DC's stable of talent, while Rafael Albuquerque will handle the covers.

Batman proposed to Catwoman in Batman #24 and after leaving us with a cliffhanger at the end of the issue, she finally said yes. DC Nation #0 was the first one-shot to be released in the countdown to the event that featured three stories.

FLCL 2 and 3 Release Dates and Official Titles Announced

FLCL's sequels come in the form of FLCL: Progressive this summer and FLCL: Alternative this fall, Adult Swim announced.

On June 2, FLCL: Progressive, or FLCL 2 as it’s been known until now, will debut on Adult Swim's Toonami at 11:30 PM (ET/PT). Progressive follows 14-year-old Hidomi and her classmate, Ide, as they’re pulled into antics to “unlock their hidden potential” by two otherworldly beings, Haruha Raharu and Jinyu. The synopsis promises the return of ATOMSK and a “certain Vespa Scooter.”

FLCL: Alternative, or FLCL 3, debuts sometime in September on Toonami. This season “hands the series over to a totally different team of young creators who will redefine the meaning of ‘sequel,’” the announcement states. Alternative features 17-year-old Kana and her three friends Pets, Mossan, and Hijiri who live ordinary lives until Haruko and a mech fall out of the sky. ATOMSK is also involved somehow in this season.

Dragon Ball Legends PvP Fighting Game Announced for Mobile

Bandai Namco has announced a new title for iOS and Android. Dragon Ball Legends was unveiled at the company's GDC presentation yesterday with the biggest feature being global, real-time PvP.

A 3D, 3v3 fighting game, Legends has players control their chosen characters by tapping cards at the bottom of the screen.

Dragon Ball Legends overseas producer, Toshitaka Tachibana, took to the stage to provide more details, describing the 3D gameplay as "heavily action oriented" and "exactly what the Dragon Ball fans wanted on a mobile app."

The global, real-time PvP is really the main event, allowing players from all over the world to face off against one another. Global PvP means players won't be separated by regions or areas, as it would "lose the point of having a global PvP system to begin with."

Justice League Is the Lowest Grossing Film in the DC Universe

DC's Justice League has ended its box office run, coming in as the lowest-grossing movie in the DC Extended Universe in the US. There's a chance that may become true internationally, too.

io9 reports that Justice League's US takings of $229,024,295 puts it dead last out of the five DCEU films released so far, grossing around $60 million less than 2013's Man of Steel.

It currently ranks last out of the five DCEU movies internationally too, sitting at $657,924,295. That's $10 million shy of Man of Steel, but the film is still open in some territories, meaning that may not be the case for much longer.

Fortnite Mobile Makes $1 Million in First Three Days

Fortnite iOS launched last week and players spent $1 million on in-app purchases within the first 72 hours.

According to data from Sensor Tower, the game has raked in over $1.5 million worldwide so far, which is impressive, considering the release has been limited to invite-only on iOS.

Sensor Tower reports that, based on cosmetic in-app purchases alone, Fortnite has grossed around a third of the revenue that Pokemon Go earned in its first four days on iOS. Niantic managed to make $4.9 million in four days, so Fortnite's numbers really aren't too shabby.

The game also topped the iOS charts in 47 countries less than 24 hours after launch, and ranked within the top 10 in 58 countries. Fortnite will be coming to Android eventually, but for now, it's invite-only on iOS.

A new Bootleg Universe short film from producer Adi Shankar has been revealed: Mr. Rogers: A War Hero.

The film, which is the Bootleg Universe's spin on TV icon Mister Rogers, is the latest of a series of popular and sometimes controversial takes on popular IPs. Previous installments have included The Punisher: Dirty Laundry, Venom: Truth in Journalism, and Power/Rangers.

“When I was young my heroes had magazords, adamantium claws, and vampire slaying whips. They were spectacular and unlocked my imagination. But after the events of the past few years my heroes have changed, and now anyone who selflessly enriches a child’s life is a hero to me. This entry is a love letter to a man who showed us what being a good neighbor looks like,” said Bootleg Universe creator Adi Shankar.
