Syfy’s Krypton Will Visit Earth, Thanagar and Rann
Krypton may be set on Superman's doomed home world, but the Syfy series definitely intends to go planet-hopping in Season 1.
During the freshman show's WonderCon panel in Anaheim, showrunner Cameron Welsh confirmed that "we will go to present-day Earth in this season, and see where Adam
came from - from Detroit." No word yet on whether that means we'll also see some iteration of Superman when we visit Earth (if we do, it sounds like he won't be played by Supergirl's Tyler Hoechlin, since Welsh nixed any potential crossovers with The CW's DC shows) but Welsh also teased that the show hopes to visit Hawkman's home of Thanagar, and Adam Strange's adopted planet Rann as the series progresses.
Twists to Its Formula Make A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 2 Another Thrilling Ride
A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 2 returns after the dazzling mix of melancholy and hilarity of Season 1, with another downtrodden and delightful turn, which works both for and against the season.
While you can look forward to IGN’s spoiler-free review of A Series of Unfortunate Events: Season 2 ahead of its March 30 debut, we’ve seen the first handful of episodes, including the adaptations of books 4 & 5, The Austere Academy and The Ersatz Elevator.
Picking up where Season 1's cliffhanger left off, the show slips into its familiar mode. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Bauldelaire end up in a new residence — this time, a dilapidated school dead-set on reminding its students they will one day die — only for Count Olaf to meddle his way into the situation and attempt to take them for their enormous fortune.

DC Reveals Two New Justice League Teams
We already knew that one new Justice League comic would be spinning out of the Justice League: No Justice miniseries, but at WonderCon 2018 DC Comics revealed that two more Justice League teams will also be joining in on the fun: Justice League Dark and Justice League Odyssey.
Dark will be written by James Tynion IV with art by penciller Alvaro Martinez, inker Raul Fernandez and colorist Brad Anderson. Wonder Woman is the leader with members Swamp Thing, Detective Chimp, Man-Bat, Zatanna and the Question (Renee Montoya). Black Panther to Be Top-Grossing Superhero Film of All Time
Black Panther is on track to surpass The Avengers at the domestic box office this weekend to become the top-grossing superhero movie of all time in North America.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, projected weekend numbers put director Ryan Coogler's Marvel movie ahead of The Avengers' $623.4 million haul in 2012, unadjusted for inflation. Additionally, Black Panther ranks sixth among only seven films to ever reach $600 million at the domestic box office.
EA Hiring for ‘Star Wars Open World Project’
If a recent job listing is any indication, Electronic Arts' Vancouver Studio is working on an open-world Star Wars game.
The listing, discovered by GameSpot on EA Vancouver's careers page, is for a lead online engineer, who will "lead a team to deliver online features for a Star Wars Open World project."
While the job post doesn't provide much in terms of specifics about the project itself, we do know EA Vancouver is currently at work on what initially started as the Amy Hennig-directed Star Wars project at Visceral Games. The game is being developed across EA's Worldwide Studios, with its Vancouver studio heading up production.

Our First Thoughts on Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger Premiere
Marvel's Cloak and Dagger doesn't premiere on Freeform until June 7, but fans at WonderCon in Anaheim got an early sneak peek at the pilot episode on March 23. (And fans at South By Southwest got an even earlier look on March 11.)
We'll have a full review of the premiere before its official release this summer, but here are five things we noticed in the first episode.
Actually, they're way more than alright -- our heroes Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) are both played by engaging performers with natural charisma, especially when their powers start to manifest. The two treat their burgeoning abilities with just the right blend of confusion and fear, and although it's clear that they'll be on a steep learning curve as they try to get to grips with what's happening to them, you can definitely see the potential for them to have fun with their newfound skills down the line. Since the show hinges on Holt and Joseph's chemistry, it's a relief to see that the dynamic between Tandy and Ty is satisfyingly complicated -- certainly enough to power the show through multiple seasons as the duo grows closer.
R.I.P. Meltdown Comics and Nerdmelt Showroom
After 25 years of serving the nerdy and artistic needs of the Los Angeles community, the beloved Meltdown Comics neon sign is about to go dark. The news broke this week via a post from Meltdown co-founder and CEO Gaston Dominguez-Letelier.
Meltdown stood out among the many comic stores in L.A. for so many reasons. It had a huge space, cramming in vintage toys, collectibles and artwork (for this writer, the veritable shrine of Daniel Clowes memorabilia was a regular draw) alongside a jaw-dropping range of comic books, manga, variant covers, local zines, and indie graphic novels.
How PUBG Corp. Brought the Core PUBG Experience to Mobile
Earlier this week, following a successful beta test in Canada, PUBG Corp. launched PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Mobile internationally on iOS and Android.
IGN recently spoke with key members of the mobile version’s development team and found out how PUBG Corp., in partnership with Tencent, worked to bring the complete PUBG experience to mobile devices around the world.
From the start, PUBG Corp. CEO Chang Han Kim knew a mobile version of the hit battle royale game would have to deliver the same “core excitement” players have come to love in the pre-existing PC and Xbox One versions. As the team would learn, accomplishing this required them to strike the right balance between consistency and optimization.
