IGN UK Podcast 430: God of War After Dark
This week Krupa's been playing that new God of War, but to be honest that bit mainly ends up being about the canonical status of what happened in Hollyoaks Afer Dark. If you don't know what that is, it's like naughty Hollyoaks. If you don't know what Hollyoaks is – well, there's no helping you.
We've seen a little bit of Infinity War, but can't talk about it, so enjoy that. And enjoy the really, really hard Keyword Countdown.

Opinion: Thanos and Captain America Are Redeeming Marvel Comics
Few would argue that Marvel Comics didn't have a rough go in 2017. The ambitious Secret Empire crossover courted plenty of controversy but failed to translate that into steady sales. And while the Marvel Legacy relaunch promised a nostalgic return to the Marvel of old, it's been pretty much a case of business as usual for the company in recent months. Despite this, there's reason to be optimistic for Marvel's future. And it's all thanks to the most unlikely of alliances - Captain America and Thanos.
Legacy underwhelmed largely because so little about Marvel's comic book lineup seemed to truly change. Beneath the renumbered covers, most Legacy books featured the same creative teams working with the same characters as before. The ongoing Captain America and Thanos titles are two notable exceptions. With Captain America, writer Mark Waid and artist Chris Samnee came on board to give readers a "back to basics" story about Cap getting back in touch with the people of America following the events of Secret Empire. With Thanos, God Country creative team Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw took the reins of the series to tell a story about the Mad Titan confronting his own future self.

FTC Letter Indicates Void Warranty Language on Video Game Consoles Is Illegal
If you've experienced the anguish of having a beloved electrical device conk out on you, you'll be more than a little familiar with the ominous portents advising against tampering with, or opening up your hardware to fix it, on punishment of voiding the warranty. It turns out that making such threats with certain phrasing is illegal, and the FTC has contacted a number of perpetrators to ask them to stop.
"FTC staff has concerns about the companies’ statements that consumers must use specified parts or service providers to keep their warranties intact," reads the FTC's statement, sent to six anonymous companies. "Unless warrantors provide the parts or services for free or receive a waiver from the FTC, such statements generally are prohibited by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a law that governs consumer product warranties. Similarly, such statements may be deceptive under the FTC Act."

Guinness Strips Billy Mitchell of Pac-Man, Donkey Kong Records
Update: Guinness World Records has removed Billy Mitchell's world records, including his Dokey Kong high scores and his perfect Pac-Man run.
The organization will no longer recognize his records in the wake of Twin Galaxies' decision to remove his scores from its leaderboards after discovering he didn't use a regulation Donkey Kong arcade cabinet.
"Twin Galaxies is Guinness World Records' trusted adviser on video game high scores and as such we rely on it to monitor high score gaming records and handle any and all disputes that occur within its community," Guinness said in a statement sent to IGN. "The Guinness World Records titles relating to Mr. Mitchell's highest scores on Donkey Kong have all been disqualified due to Twin Galaxies being our source of verification for these achievements."
