The Russo Brothers & Kevin Feige on the Future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of ten years and 18 movies-worth of interconnected storytelling. But what’s next? We don’t mean Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel, or the next Avengers 4 – those are set in stone, but after that – Phase 4 and beyond.

Infinity War Writers Address Ant-Man’s Status

SPOILERS for Avengers: Infinity War continue below, so read on at your own risk.

As it turns out, Ant-Man was nowhere to be found in Avengers: Infinity War. And while the second trailer for the sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, which drops Tuesday, promises to answer the question of where he was during the events of Infinity War, it turns out tone was the big reason why the tiny hero wasn't in the Marvel epic.

Infinity War screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely cited that as the key factor when asked by The Hollywood Reporter about Ant-Man's whereabouts during the story.
