Zombieland 2 Aiming for October 2019 Release With Original Cast

A Zombieland sequel featuring the original cast is planned for an October 2019 release window.

"We’re going on the tenth anniversary of Zombieland," the film's co-writer, Paul Wernick, told Vulture. "Zombieland came out October of 2009. We don’t know what you get someone for their tenth anniversary, but it may be a Zombieland 2.

"The hope is that we’re shooting that thing early 2019 for an October of ’19 release. With the original cast, by the way."

There was news of a sequel back in 2014, when it was reported that Sony Pictures had hired Dave Callaham to write the script for Zombieland 2, with Ruben Fleischer returning to direct. After the film's surprise success, Amazon looked at making it into a series, but it didn't make it past the pilot.

Boss Key Head Reveals Art for Unproduced Games After Studio Closure

In the wake of the studio's closure, Boss Key Productions head Cliff Bleszinski has revealed art from some of the unproduced games.

Bleszinski posted on his personal Twitter account outlining concepts for several games, including a PvE dragon riding game in a feudal-punk setting.

The never-to-be-released game was codenamed DragonFlies and players would take the role of a ninja or samurai living in airships who outfitted and used their dragons to face off against zombies.

DragonFlies would also allow players to find and hatch eggs to raise more dragon partners. According to Bleszinski it was meant to learn from the lackluster PlayStation 3 exclusive Lair, as well as the cancelled Scalebound.
