Fortnite: Blitz Showdown is Here and Offers V-Bucks as Prizes
Blitz Showdown is Fortnite's newest limited time mode and allows players to win prizes for scoring high.
Similar to the first Fortnite Solo Showdown, players are asked to play 25 matches where your placement and number of kills determine your score. The top 100 players, this time separated by region, will earn V-Bucks.
So what's different this time? For starters, each region will have its own top 100 players and set of prizes. The two North American servers count as one. This mode is also based on Blitz, a different limited time mode that speeds up storm times and forces you to play at a quicker pace.
Smallville Almost Had a Green Arrow and Lois Lane Spinoff Called Metropolis
Smallville’s Justin Hartley has revealed that his character of Oliver Queen almost headed to Metropolis for his own spinoff series alongside Erica Durance’s Lois Lane.
The spinoff news comes from Hartley himself who appeared on his former co-star Michael Rosenbaum’s (Lex Luthor) Inside of You podcast, as reported by Screenrant.
“While I was on the show, while I was on Smallville, there were several different spinoff ideas that they had,” Hartley said. “They wanted to do a spinoff called Metropolis or something like that, I heard whispers of that. It was Lois and Oliver in Metropolis and whatever that was. They were trying to extend the life of the show.”

We recently saw the official announcement of Battlefield V, and among the details we discovered was an intriguing announcement regarding its single player. In lieu of a typical story campaign focused on one character, as has been the case with most earlier entries, the game will continue with Battlefield 1’s War Stories approach. The Stories switched perspective between multiple characters that offered different looks at the Great War from soldiers of different nationalities, from a pair of brothers who enlisted days after their birthday to a former chauffeur turned tank driver.
Hasbro Planning New Power Rangers Movies
Hasbro wants to develop new Power Rangers movies after recently purchasing the brand from Saban Properties for $522 million.
Per Tokunation, Hasbro chairman and CEO Brian Goldner made a statement at the Hasbro Strategic Decisions Conference about how the Power Rangers brand is currently "undervalued."
As such, Hasbro is planning on making new Power Rangers films, toys, games and much more. However, Goldner did not specfically mention if the new movies will continue the story from the 2017 reboot.
Destiny 2 Bug Stopped Players Earning One of the Game’s Best Weapons
Bungie has confirmed that the exclusive reward for this week's Nightfall is bugged, so players hoping to get their hands on the D.F.A. hand cannon are all out of luck.
Destiny 2's Nightfall strikes aren't dropping their exclusive rewards, Bungie confirmed on Twitter, meaning that players who have been running strikes trying to get one of the best hand canons in the game have effectively wasted hours of their time.

J.K. Rowling Is Already Writing Fantastic Beasts 3 Script
J.K. Rowling has revealed she's already started writing the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts 3.
Rowling told fans the news in an online Q&A hosted on the author's website. “I’ve just finished the fourth Galbraith novel, Lethal White, and I’m now writing the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts 3,” Rowling said, referring to thrillers she writes under the pseudonym Robert Galbraith.
The third Fantastic Beasts film won't be hitting theaters until 2020, while Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald comes out in just a few months.
Though Rowling did not provide any story details about Fantastic Beasts 3, she did discuss what her role is like as a producer on these movies. It sounds as though while the author does have creative input on the films, most of her collaboration comes early in the filmmaking process.

Baby Blue popped up in the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer and looked so adorable that Chronicle Collectibles made a life-size replica that you can pre-order today for $999.
The limited edition statue was made using "direct digital assets from Industrial Light & Magic" and is boasted to be the "most screen accurate representation that will ever be made."
Niantic Deleting Illegal Pokemon Go Catches
Niantic is cleaning house in Pokemon Go by deleting Pokemon obtained by illicit means.
On Twitter, Niantic announced that it would be taking measures to make the game "fun and fair" by countering third party services that players can use to cheat. In this case, Pokemon caught using such services will be deleted and replaced by a red diagonal line, as a mark of shame in your Pokedex.
These Pokemon can't be used, making them useless. One Twitter user helpfully shared what this looks like:

We're finally going to get to see more of Bioware's upcoming action RPG with a newly announced trailer dropping on June 9.
The news came via the game's official Twitter account which has been roused back to life this week with the impending arrival of E3 2018. The tweet is a short cinematic teaser for a livestream scheduled for Saturday, June 9.
