This Kick-Ass Game Looks Like the Comic Come to Life

Kick-Ass is a hard comic to capture. Its colorful and funny, but also ultra-violent and gory. It’s a story about superheroes who aren’t actually super, and still have to deal with regular things like money and chores.

And while the movies have done a great job of capturing that attitude, the few video games based on them have fallen extraordinarily flat. So it’s pretty funny that a board game, with no blood or fast-paced action to speak of, is one of the most faithful recreations of Kick-Ass that I've seen.

Sons of Anarchy Creator Talks the Origin of Mayans MC and a Potential Prequel

Warning: FULL SPOILERS for the end of Sons of Anarchy ahead!

Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter told journalists attending the 2018 Television Critics' Association summer press tour that a First 9 prequel series, featuring the nine founding members of the infamous Nothern California motorcycle gang, is still a long ways off.

"As Sons was ending, it was a really strong IP for the network and the studio - there was a more serious discussion about how perhaps, we could work on other parts of the world within the IP... It wasn't a show that I wanted to do as a continuing series, but just do a one-off, you know, 9 or 10 episodes. So, that's when the idea of doing the Mayans came back, and we began to look at it more seriously. We didn't want to do anything right on the heels of Sons, we wanted to let it breathe for a minute."

Spider-Man Villain Movie Kraven the Hunter Reportedly in Development

Sony appears to be moving forward with its Kraven the Hunter movie, as the company is reportedly in the process of hiring a writer to pen the Spider-Man villain movie.

According to Collider, Sony is bringing on The Equalizer 2 scribe Richard Wenk to write the script. In addition to both Equalizer movies, Wenk's writing credits include The Expendables 2, The Mechanic, and 2016's The Magnificent Seven.

Kraven the Hunter

As noted by Collider, a 2017 report published by The Hollywood Reporter previously outed the possibility of a Kraven-led film. The villain, also known as Sergei Kravinoff, is a notorious big game hunter who sees Spider-Man as the ultimate catch. However, Kraven, who's never appeared in a live-action film, will have to hunt a different nemesis, as the film won't be part of Sony and Marvel's Spider-Man deal.
