One of the most popular games this year, Monster Hunter: World has just been released on PC. The console version got a review score of 9.5/10, which is exactly the same score the PC review got on the 7th of August. The review was summarised: 'This beautifully implemented port is a perfect PC introduction to the joys of Monster Hunter.'
Smash Ultimate Seems to Be Teasing Some Kind of Boss Mode
Today’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Direct was chock full of exciting announcements and reveals. But while new fighters like Simon Belmont and King K. Rool were getting most of the attention, Nintendo may have made another sly reveal -- some type of 'Boss Mode'.
Midway through the presentation, during a section about new Assist Trophies, Nintendo revealed that the Rathalos from the Monster Hunter series would be one -- however, that’s not what they showed for its initial reveal. The Rathalos was first shown as a special boss fight against a single player, using unique moves on a brand new stage based on Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate's Ancestral Steppe area.
DuckTales’ Ben Schwartz to Voice Sonic the Hedgehog in Movie Adaptation
Sonic the Hedgehog has found his voice for his upcoming movie adaption in Ben Schwartz, who also voices Dewey Duck on Disney Channel's new DuckTales series.
Variety reported that Schwartz will be joining Jim Carrey, who will be playing Dr. Robotnik, James Marsden, and Tika Sumpter.
Why This Theater Chain Took a Stand Against Slender Man
The Marcus Corporation, owners of a prominent movie theater chain in the Midwest, announced that they will not screen Slender Man in two Wisconsin counties that are in close proximity to a 2014 stabbing inspired by the fictional character.
Slender Man, set to hit theaters on August 10, is based on the popular creepypasta internet phenomenon that was created in 2009. Since its inception, the faceless man has been featured in various mediums, including video games and music. The film version is not inspired by true events, instead telling a fictionalized story about the supernatural character.
Outside the fictional realm, Slender Man is most known for an incident that took place on May 31, 2014, when two 12-year-old girls, Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier, stabbed their friend, Payton Leutne, 19 times.
Chris Hardwick Makes His First TV Appearance Following Abuse Allegations
Chris Hardwick guest-starred on NBC's America's Got Talent on Tuesday night – the host's first TV appearance after allegations of abuse from Hardwick's ex-girlfriend, Chloe Dykstra, surfaced online – and fan reaction was divided.
Some viewers expressed support for Hardwick and enthusiasm to have him back on screen, while others Tweeted that they were "disgusted" to see the host being given a platform.
IGN has confirmed that Hardwick's AGT appearance was filmed before Dykstra published her Medium post, which alleged a history of sexual and emotional abuse during her relationship with an unnamed partner.

This sparked a familiar discussion among film pundits, citing the usual reasons for loss of a mass audience: For one, the ceremony, which can easily run over four hours, often seems like too much of a chore for casual film fans. What's more, the Academy – as pundits frequently mention – is out of step with a broader popular audience, often awarding Best Picture to smaller indie films like Moonlight and The Shape of Water, while failing to award broad-range pop commercial successes like, say, Wonder Woman or Star Wars. Were more popular films nominated for Best Picture, the logic goes, more people would tune into the Oscars, right?
