Sony Scraps Black Cat and Silver Sable Movie in Favor of Solo Films
Sony has scrapped the Black Cat & Silver Sable movie in favor of two solo films.
Variety reports Sony is interested in developing standalone projects centered on popular Spider-Man characters moving forward. As such, Black Cat & Silver Sable is being reworked into two separate movies, with the first project likely focused on Black Cat.
“We believe Black Cat is enough of her own character with a great backstory and a canon of material to draw from to justify her own film,” Sanford Panitch said, the executive overseeing Sony’s Marvel films.

Venom: Sony Brass Pushing for PG-13 Rating Not R
Though many expected the upcoming Venom film to hit an R for Restricted rating, it appears that those high up at Sony are looking to avoid this 17-and-up moniker for a more family-friendly PG-13 rating.
Per Variety, it's become increasingly unlikely that Venom will end up being Sony's first R-rated Marvel movie. According to the article, various people at Sony think the film should push the boundaries of what could be considered PG-13 without actually wading in to R-rated territory. It's unclear if recent reshoots for the film in LA have to do with shifting the potential rating of the movie or not.
Grant Gustin Responds to Body-Shamers After Flash Costume Leak

Jumanji 3 Will Be More Connected to Sequel Than the Original
Though there will be a throughline of the entire franchise, Jumanji 3 reportedly will be more connected to the last film in the franchise rather than digging more into the original starring Robin Williams.
Speaking to SlashFilm, director Jake Kasdan (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle) confirmed the third film in the franchise will somehow have a closer connection to Welcome to the Jungle. Kasdan's plan is to keep the entire series connected and maintain the continuity between all three films, though.
“Our hope is to keep a long continuity through the whole thing, even though the story that we’re telling in the second movie, the movie that we’re working on right now is much more connected to the first movie that I made a year ago than it is to the original,” Kasdan said.
