NBA 2K19 Makes a Heck of a First Impression
NBA 2K19 is just around the corner (it releases on September 11), but in the meantime 2K was kind enough to bring a recent build of the sim basketball game to IGN. They brought the Xbox One X version, complete with 4K/60fps visuals. It makes one heck of a first impression, certainly in the graphics department, and in the gameplay as well.
Check out a few first-quarter gameplay clips below. First is LeBron and the Lakers doing some ice-cold shooting (my fault!) against Giannis and the Bucks. Second is the first quarter of action between the Warriors (watch out for a healthy-in-the-game DeMarcus Cousins doing damage in the post!) battling the Rockets. Finally, the 76ers come out shooting the ball well in a quarter of gameplay against Anthony Davis and the Pelicans. Watch for the new Takeover mechanic – shown when a player's icon catches on fire – signifying the temporarily enhanced skills of that player during the hot streak. Enjoy!

Disney’s Streaming Service Is Called Disney Play
It looks like Disney's upcoming streaming service has a name.
Per Variety, Disney CEO Bob Iger has referred to the service as Disney Play. However, it's currently unclear if this will indeed be the final name for the video platform, which is launching sometime in 2019.
Disney will reportedly be losing an estimated $300 million in annual revenue when Disney Play launches next year, as the company will no longer be gaining revenue from Netflix for pay-TV rights.
Starting with 2019's Captain Marvel, every Disney film released in theaters will only come to Disney Play instead of Netflix. Ant-Man and the Wasp will also now be the last Marvel movie to come to Netflix.
Will There Be a Sharp Objects Season 2?
This story contains spoilers for the Sharp Objects finale, "Milk."
HBO's Sharp Objects finale ended on a killer cliffhanger, with troubled reporter Camille Preaker (Amy Adams) discovering that her half-sister Amma (Eliza Scanlen) was the killer responsible for the deaths of two local girls in their hometown of Wind Gap, Missouri, despite their mother, Adora (Patricia Clarkson), being convicted of the crimes.
The ending of the episode closed with Camille's horrified moment of realization (and Amma's guileless plea of "don't tell momma") before a chilling mid-credits montage revealed exactly how Amma committed the murders (and also killed her new friend Mae in St. Louis, purely out of jealousy that Camille might like the other girl better). But we never saw Amma being brought to justice, or how Camille dealt with the fallout of this horrific revelation - and it sounds like we never will.

Pokemon World Championship’s Nashville Themed Set is Amazing
Every year at the Pokemon World Championships, key Pokemon art and the stage are designed with the hosting city in mind. The 2018 Pokemon World Championships are in Nashville, Tennessee, and the stage design and themed Pokemon are especially brimming with its Music City inspiration.
Pikachu plays a banjo, Snivy's on guitar, and other Pokemon are geared up in country and music-themed getup in the key art, and the stage looks like a particularly famous street in downtown Nashville. There was even a country-inspired Pokemon song composed just for the event, and plenty of set pieces spread about the convention center with hay bales and instruments.
