Pandemic, Catan, Carcassonne And More Board Games Coming to Switch
Asmodee Digital is bringing five popular board games to the Switch: The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game, Pandemic, Munchkin, Catan and Carcassonne.
Coming first is Carcassonne in Holiday 2018. It’s a tile-placement game where players have to build a medieval world using 3D maps, either in a solo mode or using 4-player local multiplayer. Its expansions will be available as paid DLC.
The other four games are coming sometime in 2019. This includes The Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game, where you or another player build decks to face down Sauron and his forces in a story-based quest. Next is the disease-curing Pandemic and its individually-priced expansions, where you can play on your own or in local 4-player. Then there’s the popular resource management game Catan as well as Munchkin, a dungeon crawler based on the board game by Steve Jackson.
