How Venom’s Biggest Stunt Sequence Was Made
One of the biggest sequences from the Venom trailers sees Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock flying off a motorcycle into the air, seemingly to his death, before the symbiote inside him lashes out its tentacles and pulls him back to safety. IGN exclusively visited the set of Venom earlier this year to watch part of the elaborate stunt sequence be shot on the streets of San Francisco, seeing in real life just how much work goes into bringing such an action-packed scene to the big screen.
The motorcycle chase sequence is an important scene for the film because it sets up Eddie’s rational fear of Venom, but also shows his realization that the symbiote can protect him when he’s in danger. Spiro Razatos, Venom’s second unit director, told IGN, “This is the first time that Eddie finds out he has Venom in him. Obviously, he’s freaking out. He’s got drones that are blowing up all around him, he’s got SUVs that are trying to kill him, and he’s got Venom inside of him. So he’s trying to deal with this while he’s going at eighty miles an hour on a motorcycle through the traffic of San Francisco.”
Red Dead Redemption 2: 24 New Screenshots Released
Rockstar has released 24 new screenshots of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Primarily showing protagonist Arthur Morgan and Dutch's gang, the images also show a variety of locations from the game, and a really wrinkly horse:
Several of the screenshots show situations or locations from our hands-on with the game, including the prairies of New Hanover, and moments from missions we've played.
We've got a whole heap of new Red Dead 2 information for you today. Aside from the hands-on, there's news of the game's first-person mode, why the new dialogue system is fantastic, and all the tiny little details we spotted as we played.
We Played 2 Hours of Red Dead Redemption 2 – Here’s What Happened
As I trotted across the prairieland of New Hanover on my well-groomed steed, Mahogany Boy (named due to a tragic misread of his breed, the Mahogany Bay), I heard the dull rattle of a freight train. I yanked the reins, hit X a few times to shift gears into a gallop, and streaked toward the tracks, just as the steam locomotive rounded a corner into view. I had an idea.
As I took up a trajectory with the train, I heard a shout over the growing noise - bounty hunters sent to collect me, dead not alive. It was a fair cop: I’d recently threatened a passing wagoner, stolen his cart and rode it off a cliff to see what happens (you die). As the engine streaked past and I swung the camera to get a look at my pursuers, a button prompt appeared in the bottom-right corner of the screen: “Jump on train”.
101 Amazing Little Details in Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 promises an unparalleled level of depth, from its vast, sprawling world, to the people and animals within it, and how it all fits together in a way that is quite unlike any open-world game before it. You're never quite know how each encounter with another character will pan out because each person is different. Similarly, it's filled with moments where you'll ask yourself, "I wonder if I can do that?", and chances are you probably can, no matter how outrageous it is.
Here’s Red Dead Redemption 2 in First-Person
Update: Rockstar Games has released the second official gameplay trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, and it showcases the game's first-person mode.
Check out the trailer below to see the mode in action.
Original story follows.
Rockstar has revealed that Red Dead Redemption 2 will follow in GTA V’s footsteps by allowing you to play the entire game from a first-person perspective.
Shown off in our hands-on with the game, first-person mode can be turned on and off at any time (on the PS4, this is done by clicking the trackpad to cycle through the camera modes until you get to first-person), and applies to the entire game, barring cutscenes. The feature will be available at launch.
Red Dead Redemption 2’s Dialogue System Turns It Into a Comedy
Red Dead’s always seemed a little like GTA’s more serious older brother; cut from the same cloth, but less willing to poke fun at its world, or the people in it. Where GTA’s satire is spread thick across everything from the story, to its radio chatter, to individual billboards, comedy in Red Dead Redemption tended to emerge more out of the player’s actions (or those terrifically strange early glitches).
But after going hands-on with Red Dead Redemption 2, one of its least grandstanding additions might become one of its most meaningful, simply because it adds the potential for comedy to almost every meeting you have with an NPC.
The Best VPNs to Unblock and Watch US Netflix Content from the UK
Recently, VPNs are becoming increasingly popular because they can ensure your security and privacy when browsing the web. Another reason is that they can get you access to other regions content on video streaming services such as Netflix. After news that Netflix is once again raising its subscription prices in the United States, getting a VPN to watch US Netflix has never been more worth it.
