Could We Be Getting a Female Loki on the New MCU Show?

Spoilers follow for Avengers: Infinity War.

It appears that Loki's story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn't done. Even though he was the first of many major MCU characters to seemingly bite it in Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel apparently has big plans for the god of mischief in the years to come. This week word broke that Marvel is reportedly developing several MCU spin-off series for the upcoming Disney streaming service, with Loki and Scarlet Witch series named as two possibilities. Which raises the question: Did Loki really die in Infinity War?

While we're excited for all of these upcoming projects, Loki may well be the perfect candidate for a streaming series. That's both because of his story so far in the MCU and the path this character has taken in Marvel's comics over the past decade. Read on to learn more about why Loki truly deserves a series of his own.

Call of Duty: Blackout is Exactly What You’d Expect Of a AAA Battle Royale

I love Call of Duty: Blackout for the same reason that I loved PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds when it first released in early access. Blackout gets straight to my favorite part of Battle Royales - using what I’ve found for an all or nothing skirmish with an equally desperate opponent - with the least amount of B.S. in the way. The combination of smooth, intuitive FPS gameplay, creative but remarkably practical pickups, and the lowest barrier for entry in a Battle Royale yet leave little doubt in my mind that Blackout will be on the tip of everyone’s tongue come October. My experience wasn’t completely devoid of issues, and I have my concerns of whether Call of Duty’s annualized release cadence can facilitate the frequency and longevity of post-launch support that I expect of the genre. But I’d be lying if I said that my time with Blackout was anything other than the best Battle Royale experience I’ve ever had.

Every IGN FIFA Review Ever

It's simply mind-boggling how many words have been written about soccer/football/runnykicky video games over the past two decades. When I asked the amazingly dedicated Michael Koczwara to put together a slideshow of every FIFA review IGN had ever written since the series debuted in 1996, I had no idea how deep that hole went. When I got the final number I was blown away, and immediately quizzed everyone around the office on how many they thought there were. No one – including old-timers like Peer Schneider, whose name appears on examples such as the December 1997 review of FIFA 98 for Nintendo 64 – even came close.

Have you guessed yet? This year's FIFA 19 review, posted just yesterday, brought the all-time total to eighty six. You read that correctly: there are are 86 different FIFA reviews on IGN - an average of almost four per year, every year, for 22 years. Wow.

Marvel Studios released Thursday that Captain Marvel's official trailer received a total of 109 million views within its first 24 hours of being live.

The Russo brothers' Avengers: Infinity War climbed to the number one spot in history, pulling in 230 million views in just 24 hours for the official trailer.

Next in line is the Avengers: Infinity War second trailer, which pulled in 179 million views. Thor: Ragnarok's official trailer was behind Avengers with 136 million views.

Daredevil’s Season 3 Avengers Connection Discovered

It looks like Daredevil Season 3 might have a bit more of a connection to the films in the MCU than previous Marvel Netflix shows, if a silhouette of the Avengers Tower in the latest official poster is anything to go by.

The tower, which was spotted by writers at ComicBook.com, is clearly visible in the distance with its distinct shape. When zoomed in on the image, the tower’s identity becomes even more apparent with the inclusion of the Avengers logo.

Academy Award winning musicians Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will be composing the music for Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen series, HBO revealed today on Twitter.

Michael B. Jordan to Star in Film Based on Original Rainbow Six Novel

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six novel and prequel Without Remorse are coming to the big screen and will star Michael B. Jordan as protagonist John Clark, reports Variety.

Paramount Pictures will bring Without Remorse to the silver screen first and follow that with Rainbow Six. Jordan, along with Josh Appelbaum and Corrin Nemec, will serve as a producer for the adaptation. But Akiva Goldsman, who's executive producing DC's Titans TV series, will serve as the main producer on the films.

John Clark appeared in 17 of Clancy's novels, usually as a secondary character in the Jack Ryan series. He was also portrayed onscreen by Willem Dafoe in 1994's Clear and Present Danger, but Clark is the lead in Without Remorse, which explores his time serving as a Navy SEAL in the Vietnam War, and Rainbow Six, which follows a "blacker than black" multinational anti-terrorist task force.

Halo Infinite Won’t Sell Loot Boxes for Cash

Despite recent indications to the contrary, 343 Industries and Microsoft will not sell Halo Infinite loot boxes for real-world money.

Posting on Twitter yesterday, a Halo YouTuber wrote that he had "a lot of faith" in 343's ability to deliver a quality experience with Halo Infinite but was "extremely disappointed" to hear Infinite would have microtransactions. Studio Head Chris Lee responded, telling him not to worry.

"Keep the faith, it's appreciated!" tweeted Lee. "We’re still working through final plans and will share more when we are ready, but I can definitely say that Halo Infinite will not include real-money loot boxes."

Distilling the entire library of the original PlayStation is no easy task, but someone has to do it. And while we wait to find out what the official full lineup for Sony's recently announced PlayStation Classic mini console is, IGN has a few suggestions for what should be included.
