Pokemon Let’s Go Is ‘Probably’ the Last Pokemon Game Junichi Masuda Will Direct
Junichi Masuda has worked on every mainline Pokemon game to date, but Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Eevee! will possibly be the last Pokemon RPG he directs.
Masuda dropped the news in an interview for Pokemon's official website. In the interview, Masuda spoke about how he enjoyed working on a Pokemon game for the Nintendo Switch and brainstorming how to connect that game with Pokemon Go. He also explained why he's likely stepping away from directing the series.
"I was the one who worked on the base game concept document for Pokemon Go, and even in that original concept, I had the idea of introducing new Pokemon through the mobile game," said Masuda. "I wanted to realize that goal by creating games that could connect with Pokemon Go and feel somewhat similar to it without feeling like we were copying it. Given my involvement in Pokemon Go's development, I felt that I was probably the best person to direct these games.
Sunset Overdrive for PC Rated by ESRB
The ESRB has rated Insomniac Games' Sunset Overdrive for PC.
As first reported by Gematsu, this ESRB rating follows Sunset Overdrive also being rated on PC by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea back in May.
Sunset Overdrive was released as an Xbox One exclusive in October 2014, but with the Korean Committee and the ESRB rating it looks as if Insomniac might be taking Sunset Overdrive multiplatform.

TV Shows That Killed Off a Main Character
With the Walking Dead’s ninth season debuting recently, promising "Rick Grimes' final episodes," ABC's The Conners returning without Roseanne Barr, and House of Cards' final season debuting without series lead Kevin Spacey, we got to thinking in the IGN offices about a few other times that TV shows lost a main character. It doesn’t happen too often, but it does happen. And usually, when they go, they go via the morgue.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Soundtrack to Be Released
Red Dead Redemption 2 developer and publisher Rockstar Games is planning to release the game's official soundtrack as a standalone product.
The soundtrack features vocal performances from musicians such as Willie Nelson, Nas, and Josh Homme, as well as a track written and performed by David Ferguson, who previously worked as a sound engineer for Johnny Cash. Vocals in the game were produced by Daniel Lanois, who has produced albums for folk legends like Neil Young and Bob Dylan.
The score is a major collaborative effort. It was primarily composed by Woody Jackson, who worked on the original Red Dead Redemption as well as Grand Theft Auto V and L.A. Noire, with additional production handled by Jeff Silverman of Truth and Soul Records.
World of Light Is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Story Mode
Masahiro Sakurai has revealed Adventure Mode: World of Light, the new campaign for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
With an intro cutscene that shows rainbow-like beams vaporizing almost all of Smash Bros.' characters, the mode appears to have players travelling across an overworld, and taking part in fights against fighters, seemingly to unlock them in the core game.
Sakurai wouldn't give specific details, but the mode appears to take place across multiple different kinds of area, includes light puzzle elements, and a very large looking skill tree.
This also appears to be where the boss battles teased in a previous Direct – against the likes of Monster Hunter's Rathalos – will take place.
All 74 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Characters Have Been Revealed, DLC and Fighters Pass Announced
During the final Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Direct, Director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that after today's presentation, there will be no more full characters announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but a full DLC plan is in place for more to be added in the future.
This will bring the total character count of fighters to 74, not including echo fighters like the recently announced Ken, in which more may still be revealed.
As for DLC, Sakurai confirmed that there will be five sets of DLC - all with a character, stage, and music track - and each is expected to be $5.99 USD.
Ken Masters and Incineroar Join Super Smash Bros. Roster
Director of Nintendo, Masahiro Sakurai, announced Thursday during the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct two new fighters who are joining the roster.
So far 72 fighters have been confirmed.
The new additions include Ken Masters as a new echo fighter and Incineroar, the Pokemon who will use primarily pro wrestling moves in his fighting.
Ken's appearance is based on Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and has a wheel attack, a focus attack, and his kicks will change based on your command inputs. The shape of Ken's Hadoken is different and he is faster than Ryu, along with having other tweaks from different previous titles.
Incineroar is the advanced evolution of Litten, who is mainly used for his wrestling moves in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – including his love to pose for the audience, which you can cancel to get him back in focus of the fight.
