MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries Gets a New Release Date

Piranha Games President Russ Bullock announced during MechCon that MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will now be released on Sept. 10, 2019, reports PC Gamer.

MechWarrior 5 was originally scheduled to be released this month, but Piranha delayed it to sometime in 2019 so that it could "deliver the best single-player MechWarrior experience to date." Mercenaries is the first MechWarrior game to have a single-player mode since 2002.

Exclusive: Bumblebee Voice Actor Revealed

After years of being unable to talk, Bumblebee will finally speak in his upcoming spinoff -- and IGN can exclusively reveal that Dylan O'Brien (Maze Runner, Teen Wolf) is the actor giving voice to the titular Autobot in the Transformers prequel!

IGN chatted with Transformers franchise producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura last week about casting O'Brien as Bumblebee and why it was necessary for the film to finally give the Transformer his own voice.

"Since we were approaching this as an origin story, we felt that it was appropriate that you got to hear his voice," di Bonaventura said of the character who thus far has only been able to communicate using existing media. "That’s the simple logic that we employed. The longer term implication of that is different. But the short-term implication of that is, since we really are resetting the mythology, essentially, of who Bumblebee is. And so, that seemed to us to be the appropriate, to get the chance to hear what he sounds like."

Deadpool 2: Unused Post-Credits Scenes Revealed

Deadpool co-creator Robert Liefeld revealed a number of previously unknown Deadpool 2 details from an Academy Screening Q&A via his Instagram yesterday.

The following article contains Deadpool 2 spoilers.

According to Liefeld, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds spoke about some unused post-credits scenes. The scenes "involved Deadpool peeing on ShatterStar's grave, Peter showing up with a prosthetic arm and an entire new X-Force team auditioning."

The topic of X-Force in particular apparently came up several times during the Q&A. One of the film's goals was to provide Deadpool/Wade with a sense of belonging, albeit it within the dysfunctional X-Force team. Ryan, along with Deadpool 2 co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, was amused that Deadpool 2's marketing disguised the X-Force team's fate and made it "seem more important in the grand scheme."
