Venom 2 Reportedly Confirmed, New Screenwriter Expected

Venom co-screenwriter Jeff Pinker has gone on record stating that a Venom sequel is on its way, though he might not be the one writing it.

In an interview with Discussing Film, Pinker was asked about the possibility of a Venom sequel, saying "I can’t say anything other than that it is happening.” When asked if he would be writing the film, he replied “I am not. As of right now, I am not."

Earlier in the interview, when asked if Tom Holland’s Spider-Man exists in the same universe as the Venom film, Pinker replied “Without revealing anything that I’m not allowed to reveal, it is not impossible that in a future/upcoming Venom movie, Spider-Man will play a significant role."

Marvel Comics Teases ‘The Marvel Universe Is Destroyed!’

A slew of teasers sent out by Marvel Comics proclaim “Marvel History Is Destroyed” with the date March 2019 at the bottom. The subject line of the email from Marvel PR said “The Marvel Universe Is Destroyed!”

Each teaser features a different superhero comic series and implies that a mystery character played a key role in its history. For example, the Amazing Spider-Man teaser asks “Who brought Spider-Man back after ‘Spider-Man: No More’?” while the Fantastic Four teaser asks “Who really gave the Fantastic Four their powers?”

Check them all out here:

The word “who” in all of the teasers is given a fiery yellow and orange stylization, which may be a hint towards the identity of the character (or group of characters). The Phoenix Force? Dormammu? The Spirit of Vengeance? The list of powerful flaming Marvel characters is pretty long, so it could be anyone.

PUBG’s New Map Is Great, But It Won’t Save It

There was a time when PUBG enjoyed massive domination. The early-access battle royale game was a huge breakout hit, with a record 3.2 million concurrent players on Steam almost one year ago.

But its numbers have dropped off, and while it's still one of Steam's most popular games, it's nowhere near its peak.

Meanwhile Fortnite is unquestionably the biggest game on Earth, and Call of Duty's Blackout mode brings another big name to the battle royale battle royale. Against these heavy hitters, and with even CS:GO adding a battle royale and going free-to-play, PUBG isn't going to gain new players unless it does something drastically different.

The new Vikendi snow map for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was announced during the 2018 Game Awards, bringing the total number of maps to four (five if you count training). The timing was interesting, as PUBG's biggest battle royale rival Fortnite's season 7 had dropped, and with it, a host of changes to the map, new inclusions, and an entirely new creative mode.

Funimation CEO: ‘We’d Have Done a Much Better Job’ With Evangelion Than Netflix

Funimation founder and CEO Gen Fukunaga has voiced some criticisms of the Evangelion franchise going over to Netflix, claiming Funimation would have done a better job handling the property.

In an interview with Polygon, Funkunaga said "Honestly, Netflix is willing to significantly overpay for something like

and outbid anybody by multiples, no matter what their
