Christian Bale Says Donald Trump Thought He Was Bruce Wayne When They Met Filming Batman
While on the red carpet for the premiere of Vice – a political biopic about Dick Cheney, played by Christian Bale – questions were brought up about Donald Trump, in which Bale chronicled when he met the current U.S. President.
Bale told Variety that he met Trump back in 2011 while he was filming The Dark Knight Rises in Trump Tower.
"I met him, one time. We were filming on ‘Batman’ in Trump Tower and he said, ‘Come on up to the office.'"
“I think he thought I was Bruce Wayne, because I was dressed as Bruce Wayne. So he talked to me like I was Bruce Wayne and I just went along with it, really. It was quite entertaining. I had no idea at the time that he would think about running for president," Bale said.
Overwatch League Announces 2019 Schedule, Including Away Games and Increased Prize Pool
The Overwatch League has announced its 2019 schedule, which includes away games and a $5 million prize pool.
The Dallas Fuel, Atlanta Reign and Los Angeles Valiant will all be hosting games in their home cities — a marked change from OWL's first season, when every regular season game was played at Blizzard's Burbank Arena. Tickets for those away games will be available at a later date.
OWL has upped its prize pool from $3.5 million in 2018 to $5 million for the 2019 season. The winner of the overall 2019 season will win $1.1 million, with the runner-up team walking away with $600,000, with decreasing amounts for lower-ranked teams.
Fans React to Street Fighter 5’s in-Game Ads
Street Fighter 5’s optional in-game advertisements are now live, and fans are angry, saddened and in some cases just bewildered by Capcom’s implementation.
Announced by Capcom last week, there are three forms the ads can take: “Ad Style” costumes with content pertaining to Capcom costumes, tournaments or the Capcom Pro Tour slapped on a character’s clothing or model, loading ads that appear in the versus screen prior to battles, and stage ads with the advertisements appearing on the floor or background of a stage. Though similar implementations have been done before, Street Fighter 5’s use of ads is particularly jarring.

In case you haven't been paying attention, the biggest gift-giving day of the entire year is less than two weeks away. That means if you've been putting off shopping, you're running out of time. Fast. Not to try to make you panic or anything, but I wouldn't put it off much longer.
One of the hottest gifts this holiday season is the Nintendo Switch. That's probably no surprise. Beloved television personality Ellen DeGeneres put the Nintendo Switch on her list of "15 must-haves" for the holidays, and she is an influencer. Her words rattle the retail world to its very core.
The Punisher Season 2 Premiering on Netflix in January
Netflix revealed in a teaser that Season 2 of The Punisher will be premiering sometime in January 2019. The news comes approximately one year after the announcement that a second season of Marvel's show on Netflix would be happening.
Three new cast members were announced last February to join Jon Bernthal, including Josh Stewart, Floriana Lima, and Giorgia Whigham.
How the Arrowverse Elseworlds Crossover Sets Up a Batwoman Spinoff Series
This year's Arrowverse crossover, "Elseworlds," wasn't just a precursor to next year's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" (although that's definitely a big deal) - it also finally introduced Batwoman and Gotham into the CW's superhero universe.
And that probably won't be the last we'll see of Ruby Rose's Batwoman, since The CW is currently developing a potential spinoff series for the Dark Knight's cousin that's under consideration for next season.
Mary Poppins Returns Review
When a movie is practically perfect in every way, the prospect of any sequel — let alone one produced more than 50 years after the original — seems like a recipe for disaster. Luckily, with a dash of mischief, a dollop of whimsy, and, yes, a hearty spoonful of sugar, Mary Poppins Returns manages to feel less like a cynical cash-grab and more like a visit from an old friend — even if the reality of her reappearance doesn’t quite live up to your fuzzy memories of the good ol’ days.
Set 25 years after the events of Mary Poppins, the sequel finds the titular nanny (who has effortlessly transformed into Emily Blunt) dropping back in on the Banks children when they’re all grown up. Feisty Jane (Emily Mortimer) is following in her activist mother’s footsteps as a labor organizer with no time for romance, and nebbish Michael (Ben Whishaw) is reeling from the death of his wife, simultaneously trying to take care of their three children, Annabel (Pixie Davies), John (Nathanael Saleh), and Georgie (Joel Dawson), while struggling to solve a stressful financial situation.
