WWE TLC: Becky, Charlotte and Asuka Deliver a Classic

Tables, Ladders, and Chairs is upon us! Not literally, no, but in the form of WWE's annual PPV/Event/Network Happening. This is the company's final blast of the year and - well - they've really stuffed it to the seams. There are 12 freakin' matches!

Is this supposed to go 5 hours? It's not, right? It's only an original recipe PPV. So I guess we can assume a good portion of these bouts will be short ones. Either quick hits or squash matches or...maybe someone'll get laid out backstage before the bout even begins and it'll get called off and moved RAW.

Check out the 10 best WWE/NXT matches of 2018...

Stick with me here all evening, for all the live results - as well as over on Twitter (at @TheMattFowler) where I'll be live tweeting - and we can suffer this storm as a team. We're stronger together. Separated, we'll crumble.

Updated: November 2018

The best GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is the EVGA SC2 with ICX, if you can find it for a reasonable price online. With that out of the way, here's a breakdown of the current situation with this now-legendary GPU.

Little did we know in March of 2017 when the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti launched we'd be here at the end of 2018, trying to find one in stock for MSRP. First the mining craze drove prices through the roof, then the RTX launch wasn't what a lot of people expected, so Nvidia's last-gen flagship is still in high demand. Also not helping; reports that there is dwindling supply and production has  ceased to make way for the RTX family of GPUs. The bottom line is, if you want a GTX 1080 Ti you better get one soon. Otherwise, you'll be left with the used GPU market as your only source, and given the mining craze has died down there's a high probability that any card you find could have been used for it, which makes a lot of buyers nervous since they've likely been running for months (or longer) around the clock.

Why Superman’s the Most Important Comic Book Movie Ever

The comic book movie as we know it turns 40 this month with the anniversary of 1978’s iconic, unforgettable Superman: The Movie. Most genre fans -- even those who weren’t alive when Christopher Reeve first donned the cape -- agree that this film was the first true comic book movie blockbuster. Yet it’s easy to overlook just how monumental its influence on the genre was and continues to be. After all, Superman: The Movie was very much a product of its time. Though it’s long since been eclipsed both in terms of spectacle and quality, Superman: The Movie nevertheless remains the single most important comic book movie of all time.

To understand how unprecedented Superman’s success was, you have to first look at the era in which it was made. Up to that point, the comic book movie genre didn’t really exist. There were short form serials and one or two feature-length extensions of TV shows like Superman and the Mole Men in 1951 and the intentionally campy Batman ’66. There were a few feature length pieces of dubious pedigree, like those based on The Shadow character. Even broadening the definition to include movies based on non-superhero comics only adds a few oddities that happened to fit into already popular genres like detective stories (Dick Tracy in the 1940s), Westerns (The Lone Ranger in the 1950s) and sci-fi (Barbarella in 1968).
