Resident Evil 2 Seemingly Getting ‘1-Shot’ Demo

An early Xbox Store listing may have revealed an upcoming Resident Evil 2 demo.

True Achievements spotted a listing for the 'Resident Evil 2 1-Shot Demo', which is listed to be released on January 11 and available until January 31.

The store description indicates that, while you can die multiple times, the demo will time out after 30 minutes. Some have speculated that the '1-Shot' title means the demo can only be played once, but there's nothing to indicate that in the accompanying text.

The full description reads:

This specially tuned demo allows you to experience the newly reimagined Resident Evil 2, but be warned: whilst you can continue as many times as you like after dying, you'll only have 30 MINUTES to complete the demo. Take in the horror atmosphere at your own pace, or make a desperate dash to solve all the puzzles Raccoon Police Department has to offer? The choice is yours! Originally released in 1998, Resident Evil 2, one of the most iconic games of all time, returns completely reimagined for next-gen consoles. - Play individual campaigns for both Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield using an all new 3rd person view - Explore the zombie infested areas of Raccoon City, now stunningly re-built using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine. - New puzzles, storylines and areas Note: This demo is available until 1/31/2019. Netflix Denies It Read Users’ Facebook Messages

Facebook has reportedly given several tech companies greater access to users' personal data than it gave to the public, and even gave Spotify and Netflix, even though Netflix denies this, "the ability to read Facebook users' private messages."

These findings come by way of a New York Times report that said internal documents showed that Facebook offered data for its over 2.2 billion users to Microsoft, Amazon, Spotify, Netflix and more.

In addition to Spotify and Netflix being able to read Facebook users' private messages, the report also claims that Microsoft Bing could see all Facebook users' friends without their consent and Amazon could gain access to users' names and contact information through their friends.

The Mandalorian: Black Panther Composer Ludwig Göransson to Score Star Wars Series

Ludwig Göransson, known for his work on Black Panther, Creed and Venom, is composing the score for the upcoming television series Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

Announced through the official Star Wars website, Göransson is hot off the heels of Golden Globe and Grammy nominations for his work on Black Panther. Outside of film, Göransson has composed for New Girl and Community on TV, produced records for Haim and Chance the Rapper, and has earned three Emmy nominations for his work with Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover, aka Lando Calrissian).

“Words fail to express how surreal and humbling it feels to be invited into the Star Wars universe,” said Göransson. “I am deeply grateful to Jon Favreau and Disney for this opportunity and to John Williams for raising the bar so high with his iconic, intrepid scores — they will never be matched. In these next months I hope to honor the tradition of Star Wars’ musical landscape while propelling The Mandalorian into new and unchartered territory. And I will try to remember that there is no try.”

How Streaming Is Saving Your Favorite Shows from Cancellation

While some television shows don't have the greatest ratings, including NBC's The Good Place, many are still being renewed thanks to strong viewership on streaming devices.

As reported by New York Post, the tried-and-true way of measuring ratings as a live show through Nielsen numbers are becoming less relevant with the advent of streaming platforms.

The Good Place, as previously mentioned, was given a fourth season despite averaging less than 3 million viewers per week during its regular time slot on Thursdays at 9:30pm.
