RE2 Demo Played Over 1 Million Times
Since its release on January 11, Resident Evil 2's 1-Shot demo has been played by at least 1.4 million players, Capcom revealed today.
Of those 1.4 million, just over 400,000 players have successfully completed the demo within its 30-minute time limit, according to the official Resident Evil 2 website. It should be noted the player count is current as of 1 p.m. EST / 10 a.m. PST and only accounts for those who enabled RE Net, making the actual number of players almost certainly greater.
The 1-Shot demo will remain available through January 31. If you've yet to begin your 30-minute timer, be sure to check out IGN's seven essential tips for the Resident Evil 2 demo.

Yeoh will also appear in Season 2 of Star Trek: Discovery debuting Jan. 17. As established in Season 1 of Discovery, Georgiou is the alternate universe duplicate of Captain Philippa Georgiou.
First Look at Rufus the Naked Mole-Rat in Kim Possible Movie
Primetime Emmy-winner Nancy Cartwright, the voice behind Bart Simpson, will reprise her role as Rufus the Naked Mole-Rat in the upcoming live-action Kim Possible Disney Channel Original movie premiering on Friday, February 15 at 9 p.m. ET.
In the video below, you'll get an exclusive first look at Cartwright in action both in the recording studio and as her digitally animated character from the film.
"Based on the global hit animated series, the live-action 'Kim Possible' Disney Channel Original Movie follows everyday teen hero Kim Possible and best friend and sidekick Ron Stoppable as they embark on their freshman year of high school, all while saving the world from evil villains. By their side, every step of the way is teen tech-genius Wade and new friend Athena, who also happens to be a Kim Possible super fan and is eager to join Team Possible. While Kim and Ron have always been one step ahead of their opponents, navigating the social hierarchy of high school is more challenging than the action-hero ever imagined. With Drakken and Shego lurking in the wings, Kim must rely on her family and friends more than ever. Now it's up to Team Possible—Kim, Ron, tech-genius Wade, new friend Athena and Rufus, a Naked mole-rat that Ron meets along the way—to stop these supervillains," according to a synopsis from Disney Channel.
Can the Avatar Sequels Spark 3D’s Return to Grace?
James Cameron’s Avatar and 3D go hand in hand. So much of the movie’s buzz was due to the 3D gimmick and the big budget special effects that it worked so well with. Avatar truly became a must-see movie when it was released -- not just on the biggest screen possible but in as many dimensions as possible -- and it remains the highest-grossing film of all time worldwide some 10 years later. Indeed, it helped spur on a renewed interest in big-screen 3D at the time. And now there are four Avatar sequels on the way, with the first slated for release in 2020.
Except Cameron and 20th Century Fox (the studio behind the films) are facing a new world. The hype for 3D upon Avatar’s release in 2009 is long gone in most markets. So the question is whether or not the big, blue alien cats of Pandora can help make 3D movies relevant again.

20 Essential Travel Tips for Gamers Going to Japan
If you grew up playing video games, chances are you feel some kind of connection to Japan. So many of the iconic games we all played – and the consoles we played them on - came from this densely-populated island nation. Perhaps you’re even planning a trip over there for the cherry blossoms in April, or to hit up Tokyo Game Show in September.
This feature should be useful if a trip is on the cards and you haven't spent much time in Japan before. You may also like to check out my profiles of two of Tokyo’s most legendary game arcades – Taito Hey! in Akihabara and Game Center Mikado in Takadanobaba.
The Early Days of Blizzard With Co-Founder Allen Adham
It’s been an interesting time for Blizzard of late. 2018 was particularly turbulent, with a lot of changes within the company, from the departure of long-running president and co-founder Mike Morhaime, through to shake-ups on other teams, such as major turnover on Hearthstone’s Team 5. Even BlizzCon, usually a celebration of all things Blizzard, turned toxic after the ill-advised BlizzCon reveal of Diablo Immortal. And then, to close out the year, there was the announcement that development on Heroes of the Storm would be scaled back and its esports program axed.
Of course, the year held plenty of highlights for the company too. There was the inaugural season of the Overwatch League, which drew a wide range of viewers and fan support from across the globe, while World of Warcraft received a brand-new expansion in the form of Battle for Azeroth, among many other updates to the studio’s stable of titles.
