The Best Underwater Cameras

Note that if you click on one of these links to buy the product, IGN may get a share of the sale. For more, read our Terms of Use.

There’s an entire underwater world that most of us will never see. But if you're looking to explore it with a camera, there’s no need to haul an already bulky DSLR around in an even more awkward housing just to grab some fun subaquatic snapshots on vacation. Instead, the latest waterproof cameras look more like traditional compact point-and-shoot cameras than they do pro photo gear. Many are also shock-proof, crush-proof and freeze-proof, so they're ready to shoot in pretty much any environment, whether above water or below. No matter where you’re headed or what you’re shooting, I’ve rounded up the best underwater cameras.

A Love Letter to Resident Evil 4’s Inventory

Resident Evil 4 is a classic among classics - the series' "Aliens" moment. It reinvented Resident Evil  and made it stronger than ever, not unlike the series' own zombies. Countless games took lessons from Resident Evil 4's over-the-shoulder gunplay.

But one of my favorite parts of Resident Evil 4, one of the most satisfying things about the game? That briefcase. I love Leon S. Kennedy's silly, oversized briefcase.

Right from the beginning, Resident Evil has been as much about inventory management as it has been about zombies and survival. From Resident Evil on PlayStation up through the brand-new Resident Evil 2 remake, this is a series about traveling light and working with what you have. But Resident Evil 4 took a different, and intentionally campier, tone from previous entries in the series. Leon was a trained agent – a straight-up action hero, and he had the over-the-top arsenal to go with it.

Long Time Fast & Furious Writer Explains What Makes the Series Special

When it comes to directors, the Fast & Furious series is a bit of a revolving door. Actors, too, have come and gone, even though a steady, core ensemble was eventually established. But there’s been at least one figure in the Fast & Furious world that has remained constant since 2006’s The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, and that’s writer Chris Morgan. Morgan has been the writer of every film in the Fast & Furious series since Tokyo Drift (a movie that, despite its status amongst some as the redheaded stepchild of the bunch, ultimately helped position the series as a broad, interconnected universe).

With Morgan behind the scenes, over the last 13 years Fast & Furious has snowballed into Universal’s highest-grossing franchise; a multi-billion-dollar box office brute. Now, it’s about to get even bigger as it expands into spin-off territory for the first time with Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Hobbs & Shaw will pair up two of the Fast franchise’s heaviest hitters and pit them against a juiced-up Idris Elba as Brixton, an international terrorist with superhuman-like strength who describes himself as human evolutionary change. Instead of help from the Fast crew, this time around we can expect appearances by Vanessa Kirby as Shaw’s sister, MI6 agent Hattie, as well as Hobbs’ four brothers, who run a custom car business out of Western Samoa.

Netflix Renews Sex Education for Season 2

Netflix has ordered a second season of the critically-acclaimed - and highly-watched according to their internal reports (estimated over 40 million households watching within the first 4 weeks) - Sex Education.

Starring Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, and Ncuti Gatwa, Sex Education is a bawdy and endearing comedy about a teen with sexual anxiety, Otis (Butterfield), who starts a side business at school providing sex advice and couples counseling. Complicating matters is the fact that his mother (Anderson) is a real life sex therapist and - oh - he's in love with his business partner (Mackey).

Pokemon Releases the Best Charizard Card Ever

If you buy something through this post, IGN may get a share of the sale. For more, read our Terms of Use.

Charizard is one of the most popular Pokemon, so it won’t surprise you to hear that cards featuring the fiery lizard are highly sought-after by collectors. However, while Charizard cards might fetch a high price on the secondary market, they have a notoriously low performance record when it comes to the actual game. Sure, you could always build a Charizard deck for fun to play against your friends, but it’d never come close to winning a competitive Pokemon TCG tournament.

That is, until now. With the release of the new expansion set Sun and Moon: Team-Up, fans of the Kanto fire starter finally have a competitively viable Charizard that is, hands down, the best ever printed.

Why Batman Readers Are in an Awkward Spot Right Now

The current volume of Batman has been one of DC's best monthly titles since it debuted back in spring 2016. Between writer Tom King's deeply introspective approach to the Dark Knight and a rotating art team featuring some of the very best in the business, there's a lot to love about the series. Unfortunately, it's also a comic that can frustrate as often as enthrall readers, particularly those who follow it monthly rather than waiting for the trade paperback collections. The series' current story arc, "Knightmares," is proving to be an especially uncomfortable reminder of that fact.

Warning: spoilers for Batman ahead!

Currently, the series is exploring the fallout of Batman #50 and the revelation that Bane is quietly manipulating Bruce's life from behind the scenes. In recent months, we've seen Bane orchestrate the collapse of Batman's engagement to Catwoman, cause him to wrongfully target Mister Freeze for the murders of three women, nearly kill Nightwing and manipulate Batman into turning on Commissioner Gordon. Bane's latest master stroke came at the end of Batman #60, where Bruce was confronted by a man who appears to be Thomas Wayne of the Flashpoint universe.

Crackdown 3 Is Part Science Experiment, Part Video Game

Crackdown 3 has been through a lot. Plenty of games have – making video games is immensely difficult, after all – but the difference is that Crackdown 3’s issues have been on public display. It’s suffered delays, big hype around new technology, developer shifts, iffy showings at major conventions, and more delays. But unlike former first-party peers Fable Legends and Scalebound, Crackdown 3 was spared Phil Spencer’s guillotine and here it is, finally releasing on February 15. Surely there must’ve been a reason why it has lived while the others died?

Ostensibly, that reason is because Crackdown 3 – and specifically its Wrecking Zone multiplayer mode – is a Trojan horse for the ballyhooed cloud-powered multiplayer technology it’s premiering. Microsoft Senior Creative Director Joseph Staten told me as much: “
