Respawn Is Not Currently Working on Titanfall 3
Following rumors about Respawn's new free-to-play, battle royale Apex Legends that launched Monday, the game is not Titanfall 3, nor is a third installment of the highly-praised game being made at the moment, reported by Eurogamer.
Apex Legends is set within the Titanfall universe and takes place 30 years after Titanfall 2, but is not a sequel. The game focuses around the area known as the Outlands, with characters who compete against one another in what would be looked at as a true battle royale environment.

Taika Waititi Won’t Direct Guardians Vol. 3: ‘It Feels Awkward’
Taika Waititi won't be directing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 following James Gunn's firing, so stop asking.
"Nope. No, not doing that movie," Waititi told reporters during the Television Critics Association winter press tour, where he's promoting FX's small-screen adaptation of What We Do in the Shadows. "For me, that’s James’ film... Going into something like that, which has got his stamp all over it, would feel like going into someone’s house and going, 'Hey, I’m your new dad...' It feels kind of awkward."

Here’s Why Netflix’s Huge Ratings Are a ‘Myth’
At the TCA winter press tour, FX CEO John Landgraf took the stage to announce a third and final season of Legion, and the pickup of Brian K. Vaughn's Y: The Last Man to series. The longtime television executive also shed some light on Netflix's recent ratings reveal that both Sex Education and You were projected to be watched by "40 million accounts" in their first month.
More Apex Legends Details Revealed, Cross-Play Potential Discussed
Update February 7, 10:00 a.m.: Apex Legends' developers have opened up about the possibility of cross-play for the battle royale game, which does not currently support multiplayer across PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Lead Producer at Respawn, Drew McCoy, told Eurogamer that the developer "plans to allow players to play with their friends on other platforms" sometime in the future. Currently, only Fortnite and Rocket League support cross-platform play on PS4 with other platforms like Xbox and PC, as part of Sony's cross-play beta initiative.
Netflix Acquires Zac Efron’s Ted Bundy Movie
Netflix is officially getting rights to the Ted Bundy film starring Zac Efron – Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, reported by THR.
After a bidding war with STX and Lionsgate during the end of Sundance Film Festival, the deal reportedly came in at $9 million, and will include U.S. rights and some international territories.
Netflix acquiring the rights was not much of a shock, as the director, Oscar-nominated Joe Berlinger, already has the docuseries about Ted Bundy on the streaming platform – Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes.

The original Steins;Gate is a time-warping visual novel-style game that launched in Japan in 2009 before coming to the rest of the world in English in the following years. Since then, it's gotten a full anime adaptation and gathered something of a cult following. Soon, publisher Spike Chunsoft will release a new souped-up version that includes scenes from all 24 episodes of the anime, plus brand-new animations for the game's numerous endings. It's called Steins;Gate Elite, and its release date is February 19 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The Cast of the New Dune Is Basically Amazing
Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049) is the latest director to tackle the imposing challenge of adapting Frank Herbert's epic sci-fi novel Dune to the big screen. Most fans would agree that neither the 1984 adaptation by David Lynch nor the 2001 TV miniseries truly capture the greatness of the source material. But if nothing else, Villeneuve certainly has a talented cast backing him up for the project, which is expected to start production this year.
Now that many of the film's central heroes and villains have been cast, we've put together a quick breakdown of all the actors confirmed for the Dune reboot so far. You'll also find here the basics of each character, for those who might not be familiar with this sprawling sci-fi saga. The spice must flow!
