Xbox Announces New Sport Series Wireless Controller

During the Inside Xbox stream on Tuesday, Xbox announced a new wireless controller that will be added to the Sport Series.

The new controller is called the Sport Red Special Edition, and is the second controller in the series that was launched this past summer. The first controller in the Sport Series was the Sport White Special Edition and featured mint, grey, and silver accents.

The new controller is primarily red in color and features darker red and transparent accents on the buttons and joysticks, with a metallic red D-pad. Hits of silver can be seen in patterns on the front as well.

A Traveling Halo Experience May Be Headed to a City Near You

Halo: Outpost Discovery is headed to five major cities in the U.S. and will allow visitors to "Explore a Halo Ring, get up close and personal with a real-life Warthog, battle fellow recruits in an epic laser tag arena, experience thrilling in-universe encounters with the latest simulation and VR technologies and much, much more."

As announced during today's Inside Xbox, Halo: Discovery Outpost is more or less a traveling Halo theme park that aims to give fans a place to celebrate the beloved franchise and immerse themselves in everything Halo for an entire weekend.

The five cities that will host Halo: Outpost in its first year will be;

D’Vorah Added to Roster for Mortal Kombat 11

Announced Tuesday during Inside Xbox, D’Vorah will be added to Mortal Kombat 11.

D'Vorah is known as the female villain from the species Kytinn who has insects living inside of her, and uses them in her fighting. She was first debuted in Mortal Kombat X in 2015.

Her coloring is a golden yellow with black detailing, and she has four lethal pincers and wings that come out of her back for attacks and to help her fly.

Because of her connection to insects, D'Vorah is able to take control over other bugs and uses them for offensive attacks and sealing up her wounds.

Kabal was confirmed for Mortal Kombat 11 earlier Tuesday, and the entire roster of characters can be found in IGN's Wiki page.

Microsoft Studios Is Now Xbox Game Studios

Microsoft announced during today’s episode of Inside Xbox that it has changed the name of its game development umbrella from Microsoft Studios to Xbox Game Studios.

Xbox Game Studios is comprised of 13 individual development teams: 343 Industries, The Coalition, Compulsion Games, The Initiative, inXile Entertainment, Minecraft (Mojang), Ninja Theory, Obsidian Entertainment, Playground Games, Rare, Turn 10 Studios, Undead Labs and Microsoft's Global Publishing group. These teams are working on exclusive new properties and fresh chapters from returning franchises like Halo, Forza, Gears of War and Minecraft.

During Inside Xbox, Microsoft mentioned getting the heads of all of these studios together to collaborate, perhaps even sharing technology to assist in game development.

Microsoft Announces February 2019 Xbox Game Pass Games

During today’s episode of Inside Xbox, Microsoft announced the new games coming to its Xbox Game Pass service in February.

Games coming to Game Pass in February include Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Crackdown 3, Pumped BMX Pro, de Blob, Batman: Return to Arkham, and The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season.

Here’s when you can expect each game to hit the service:

Telltale’s The Walking Dead Ends Its 7-year Run in March

The fourth and final episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be released on March 26.

Titled Take Us Back, Episode 4 will be released alongside the physical version of The Final Season. According to Skybound Games, the retail version will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Take Us Back will conclude the story of Clementine, which ran for nearly seven years across four seasons, beginning with the series' first episode back in April 2012. The final chapter of Clem's story will presumably pick up after the explosive events of The Final Season's third episode, Broken Toys.

ABC Boss Wants a Lost Reboot, But One’s Not in Production Yet

It might be time to heed Jack's advice and go back to the island.

ABC President Karey Burke told reporters today that she is interested in a possible Lost reboot for the network, which was the home of the hit drama series from 2004 to 2010.

According to /Film, Burke clarified that she had not had any discussions with Lost co-creator J.J. Abrams, showrunner Carlton Cuse, or ABC Studios about a reboot. Burke said a potential reboot was "just what I dream about when I go to bed at night."

ABC isn't a stranger to the reboot game. Last year, the network brought back the '90s sitcom Roseanne, which later transformed into The Conners. ABC is also currently working on a possible Bewitched reboot and a sequel to Designing Women.

EA Working on New Need for Speed, Plants Vs. Zombies Games

EA has announced plans to deliver new entries in both the Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies franchises.

In a recent press release, EA COO and CFO Blake Jorgensen said the publisher will "deliver new Plants vs. Zombies and Need for Speed titles," although details on upcoming entries have not yet been revealed.

Jorgensen also said EA will "grow Apex Legends and related Titanfall experiences" and "add Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to our sports titles in the fall."

Jorgensen went on to note FIFA as a stand-out title and the highest-selling console game in Europe during the 2018 calendar year. He also said the company is "making adjustments to improve execution" and is "refocusing R&D."

Kabal’s reveal came in the form of a new trailer, showing the fighter facing off against familiar fighters like Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade and more.

Dragon Ball Voice Actor Dismissed from RWBY Following Misconduct Allegations

Voice actor Vic Mignogna, known for various anime including Fullmetal Alchemist and Dragon Ball Super: Broly, has been removed from the cast of Rooster Teeth's anime-style show, RWBY, amid continued sexual harassment allegations.

A post on Rooster Teeth reads: "Effective today, Vic Mignogna is no longer a part of the cast of RWBY and Rooster Teeth is ending all associations with Mignogna. This will not affect the creative content of RWBY."

Mignogna's popularity rose over the years after his voice work in Fullmetal Alchemist, with even a fan club beginning in 2005 that consisted of fans volunteering to run the club and a fully-stocked online store of CD's and signed autographs by Mignogna.
