Xbox One Deals: Assassin’s Creed Odyssey for $24 and More

A new week means a new set of deals on digital Xbox One games. If you enjoy saving money on games, this is your week, because tons of Xbox One games are currently on discount, thanks to the Ubisoft publisher sale, Spotlight Sale, and Deals with Gold. Most of these discounts are available to everyone, but some require an Xbox Live Gold subscription. The deals go away March 4, so grab what you want before then. Let's jump in.
One of the biggest standout deals is Assassin's Creed Odyssey on sale for $24. If you want to tack on the season pass and digital items included in the Deluxe Edition, you can grab the Ultimate Edition for just $39.60. Those who missed out on the previous installment can also pick up Assassin's Creed Origins on sale for $15 as well. The earlier titles are also on sale, so check out the highlights below or visit Microsoft's site to view the entire sale.
Fortnite Season 8 Downtime and Patch Information Detailed
Get your pirate gear in order, Season 8 of Fortnite is set to launch tomorrow and Epic has detailed the release date and time of downtime.
Season 7 will conclude at 1am PT on February 28 and downtime for the 8.00 patch will begin immediately after. Patch notes detailing any new weapons, map changes, or gameplay alterations will be released by Epic as soon as downtime begins.
Downtime between updates typically lasts about an hour, but Epic has confirmed this is a larger patch and downtime will take longer.
Any replays saved before the update will be rendered useless after downtime concludes. Unlockable styles for outfits from the Season 7 Battle Pass can still be unlocked during Season 8 as long as the base skins were unlocked prior to the new season.
Disney Villains Series ‘Book of Enchantments’ Coming to Disney+
A scripted series titled, Book of Enchantments is coming to Disney+, according to Variety
The series is reportedly being based off of the Villains book series by Serena Valentino, and will focus on iconic Disney villains.
Characters such as Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, the Wicked Queen from Snow White, and others will have their origin stories featured.
Michael Seitzman will be writing and producing Book of Enchantments under his Maniac Productions, with ABC Signature Studios on to produce.
The Book on Enchantments development reportedly came after the heavily Disney-inspired TV series, Once Upon a Time, finished its seventh and final season on ABC last spring.
Beverly Hills 90210 Revival Features Original Cast Playing Themselves
Beverly Hills, 90210 is being revived with a twist: many of the original cast members are returning, but they’ll be playing themselves.
Announced by Fox, this will be a six-episode event series, and will reunite cast members Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling. Notably, Luke Perry and Shannen Doherty have not been announced for the revival, which is scheduled to air in Summer 2019.
Written and executive produced by Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler, the show will feature the returning actors as “heightened versions” of themselves in an irreverent drama that is inspired by their real lives and relationships.
Aquaman 2 Confirmed for 2022 Release
Warner Bros. confirmed Wednesday the release date for the Aquaman sequel, which is set to premiere in theaters on Dec. 16, 2022, according to EW.
It was announced earlier in February that Aquaman 2 was officially in development, with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, co-writer of the first film, writing the sequel's script.
Aquaman pulled in $1.1 billion globally at the box office since its release in December, making it the highest-grossing DCEU film in history.
Kingdom Hearts 3 Director Confirms DLC in the Works
Director Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that both free and paid DLC is in the works for Kingdom Hearts 3.
In an interview with Japanese publication Dengeki Online (via Google Translate), Nomura revealed that free DLC would likely come to the game as incremental updates as they are completed, and paid DLC would be larger, and possibly grouped together to be released before the end of 2019. One such free update may include a Critical Mode difficulty level.
Paid DLC would likely expand the story, potentially filling in details on characters that perhaps weren’t fully explored in the main game.
Star Trek: Discovery Renewed for Season 3, Gets New Co-Showrunner
Just six episodes into Season 2, it's been announced that Star Trek: Discovery has been renewed for a third season, according to Variety.
Co-executive producer and writer, Michelle Paradise, will be joining Alex Kurtzman as co-showrunner.
"Michelle joined us midway through season two and energized the room with her ferocious knowledge of ‘Trek,’” Kurtzman told Variety. “Her grasp of character and story detail, her drive and her focus have already become essential in ensuring the ‘Trek’ legacy, and her fresh perspective always keeps us looking forward. I’m proud to say Michelle and I are officially running ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ together.”
Batman Battles Zombies and His Own Father(?!) in May
Both Marvel and DC have released their solicitations for May 2019. This summer looks to be a huge one for the comic book industry, what with both publishers using Free Comic Book Day to tease major villain-centric stories and debuting several other major projects over the course of the month. Those projects include everything from the Conan-heavy Savage Avengers to the zombie-themed DCeased to what may be the final Batman epic from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.

DC Universe’s Titans Casts its Superboy
Warner Bros. Television announced Wednesday that Joshua Orpin has officially been cast as Connor Kent, also known as Superboy, in the second season of DC Universe's Titans.
Orpin will be a series regular for the upcoming season. He is known for his role in the feature film, The Neon Spectrum, along with shorts and having numerous stage credits.

Tolkien's lore the series will focus on, and the newest teaser confirms Amazon's adaptation will be set during the Second Age of Middle-earth.
