A series of tweets from the official "The Lord of the Rings on Prime" Twitter account has been offering clues as to when the show might take place and what pieces of J.R.R. Tolkien's lore the series will focus on, and the newest teaser confirms Amazon's adaptation will be set during the Second Age of Middle-earth.

Mister Miracle Is a Must-Read DC Masterpiece
If you buy something through this post, IGN may get a share of the sale. For more, read our Terms of Use.
DC Comics have delivered a must-read comic book masterpiece about life, death, and Darkseid, and it’s called Mister Miracle.
It’s a fascinating story featuring one of DC’s lesser known heroes, told by writer Tom King and artist Mitch Gerads, who you may know from their incredible work together on those sexy Catwoman issues of Batman. Mister Miracle isn’t your typical comic book. It works on multiple levels -- as a superhero war story, an existential commentary, and as a reflection on the comics icon who created the character, Jack Kirby. It’s these layers that give it a dizzying amount of depth and combine to tell a shocking and profound story that is, without question, one of the best comics in years.

Disney+ Streaming Service Will Include ‘Entire Disney Motion Picture Library’
The upcoming Disney+ streaming service will reportedly include the “entire Disney motion picture library,” and will allegedly open up the famed Disney Vault, bringing all of its animated classics to the streaming service.
Reported by Polygon, Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed the whole motion picture library will come shortly after the service launches later this year.
As most every '90s (and probably ‘80s) child knows, the Disney Vault is an iconic and frustrating system where Disney only made certain animated classics available for home video at a time, meaning if you wanted to buy Pinocchio on Blu-Ray, you’d have to be lucky enough that it happened to be out of the vault at that point in time. After every copy of any given movie had been sold though, it would go back into the vault.

Amazon’s Lord of the Rings Series Confirmed to Be Set in the Second Age
Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series will officially take place in the Second Age, prior to the events of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Confirmed by the show’s official Twitter account, a new post simply says “Welcome to the Second Age” with a link out to an updated map of Middle Earth. This map has been updated regularly, at first only showing geographical locations, but later including labels for locations. These developments led many fans to believe the show would take place in this little-explored Second Age of Middle Earth.
