CinemaScores: What Audiences Think of the MCU, From Iron Man to Captain Marvel

UPDATED, MARCH 9, 2019: Captain Marvel has received an "A" CinemaScore rating. As Captain Marvel becomes the latest epic blockbuster to line Disney's coffers, let's take a look back at how every MCU movie has fared in the CinemaScore department and how those scores compare to their critical reception and box office gross.

Generally, a high CinemaScore rating -- the survey of what actual audiences thought of a film -- is a pretty good indicator that a movie will do well at the box office.

Is it any wonder then that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is such a huge moneymaker when these films almost always score at least an "A-" with moviegoers?

Crimes of Grindelwald in 4K Leads Up Tuesday’s Blu-ray Releases

It's a bit of a slow week for home video releases, but that's probably by design, what with a blockbuster like Captain Marvel in theaters taking up people's movie-mind share. That's not to say there aren't some pretty big movies coming to physical media this week. Full spoilers follow for Captain Marvel!

Everyone who’s seen Captain Marvel knows that Goose the cat not only steals his scenes in the movie, he also steals the Cosmic Cube. And that’s because he’s not just some mere tabby cat. No, it’s revealed that Goose the cat's species is a Flerken, an alien that just so happens to look exactly like earthly felines …. but with some very shocking and deadly differences.
