Dead Cells’ Rise of the Giant DLC Coming This Month

Dead Cells developer Motion Twin has revealed details and a PC date for its previously announced Rise of the Giant DLC.

The free update will arrive for the PC version on March 28, and will add an entirely new area called the Caverns that will have a brand new boss as the end. It will also bring a new “Skinning” system that will add more than 50 outfits for your character that can be found as blueprints from enemies in higher difficulties, from bosses, and in certain secret areas.

Marvel Reportedly to Produce ‘What If’ Series for Disney+

Marvel is reportedly set to produce an animated series based on the popular “What If?” comics for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.

Reported by /Film, the What If? comics are essentially theoretical stories that are created as fun, fan-service issues that had no bearing on any Marvel canon or continuity - and the Disney+ series will reportedly operate the same way.

One issue in particular, What if? Vol. 1 #47 - What if Loki had found the hammer of Thor? - was signaled out as one episode sources claim will be made. MCU head Kevin Feige will reportedly oversee the show, which could potentially feature vocal talents of the live-action MCU actors reprising their roles in animated forms. Like the comics, the series will reportedly act as an anthology, with each episode revolving around an entirely different premise.

Wonder Woman Congratulates Captain Marvel on Her Movie’s Success

Captain Marvel premiered over the weekend and pulled in high box office numbers totaling $455 million worldwide.

The strong numbers pushed the first female-led Marvel film into the second slot of the highest-grossing MCU solo films since Black Panther.

Fans have been checking up on the previous most-recent female-led superhero film, Wonder Woman, in comparison. However, on Monday, Gal Gadot shared a fan design of Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman being pals together and said, "I'm so happy for you sister! Congrats" in bold letters on her Instagram story, reported by Buzzfeed.

Next Apex Legends Character Not Being Released Today

Update: Following the recent datamine and EA Origin leak, Respawn Entertainment has addressed the leaks suggesting Apex Legends' next hero would be released today.

In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, Respawn confirmed the next Legend, as well as the Battle Pass, are not launching today. The developer intends to provide more info on both, as well as Season 1 of Apex, soon.

As for the datamine that alleged multiple new Apex Legends characters, Respawn said to not treat that information "as a source of truth," explaining that there's information in the game that is "very old, or things we've tried in the past and cut." The company's full statement reads:

Doom Studio Makes Very Clear It Has Nothing to Do With New Doom Movie

Doom developer id Software has officially stated that they have no involvement with Doom: Annihilation, a new direct-to-video adaptation of the storied franchise.

Yesterday, a new trailer was released for Doom: Annihilation and the reaction was not overly positive. This prompted GeorgeTheRaven to tweet at id Software and the official Doom account and ask for their "most honest opinion."

In response, the official Doom account quote tweeted the question and said, simply, "We're not involved with the movie."

Dragon’s Dogma Anime Headed to Netflix

A new anime series is headed to Netflix based on Dragon's Dogma, Capcom's action RPG that was originally released in 2012 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Announced by Netflix, the Dragon's Dogma series is one of the new productions announced following the streaming giants new partnerships with Anima, Sublimation, and David Production.

The Dragon's Dogma series will be based on the title from Capcom and "the story follows a man’s journey seeking revenge on a dragon who stole his heart. On his way, the man is brought back to life as an ‘Arisen’. An action adventure about a man challenged by demons who represent the seven deadly sins of humans."
