Why Netflix Failed One Day at a Time
After three critically-acclaimed seasons, Netflix has canceled One Day at a Time - a reboot of the classic Norman Lear sitcom, which centers around a Cuban-American family for its modern retelling.
Netflix released a statement via its Twitter account: "We’ve made the very difficult decision not to renew One Day At A Time for a fourth season. The choice did not come easily — we spent several weeks trying to find a way to make another season work but in the end simply not enough people watched to justify another season."
To put it mildly, the series' loyal fan base is not happy, taking to social media to vent their frustrations. Most of the disappointment stems from Netflix's lack of transparency when it comes to their cancellations. Unlike network and basic cable channels, which have viewership numbers closely tracked by Nielsen ratings, Netflix doesn't have to share its data. And most of the time, it only gives out information if something is a huge success, like Bird Box being watched by 45 million accounts in its first week.
Hawkeye’s Disney+ TV Series: Who Is Kate Bishop?
Word just dropped in Hall H at Comic-Con that the rumored Hawkeye TV show is in fact happening with Jeremy Renner starring. The Disney+ streaming show will feature Clint Barton along with the younger, female Hawkeye from the comics, Kate Bishop.
We've had a sneaking suspicion that Kate Bishop might be showing up in the MCU ever since the Avengers: Endgame trailer which seemed to possibly be hinting at the character.

DC is surely hoping that Shazam! will have a similar run to Aquaman, which recently crossed $1 billion at the global box office and its sequel has already been scheduled for release in theaters in 2022.

Shenmue III Preview: Still a One-Of-a-Kind Experience
“Can you open drawers and closets like in the old games?” I asked Yu Suzuki, the man behind the Shenmue series.
“Of course” he said. “It’s Shenmue, after all.”
That was the moment I realized that Shenmue III was going to be all I could have hoped for.
“Every time I hold the controller to play the game, it feels like a dream come true,” Shenmue III co-producer Cedric Biscay told me. Biscay was originally a fan of the Shenmue series himself, but as the CEO of Shibuya Productions, he was instrumental in helping Yu Suzuki’s YsNet fund development of the game, long before the crowdfunding campaign had made Suzuki over $7 million.
